Voters are still waiting on Donald Trump's tax returns: Should Trump have to prove his worth?

  • What is Trump hiding?

With "the Donald" poised to claim the Republic Party's nomination for their presidential candidate, a few skeletons have emerged from his closet. One of these is Trump's tax returns. The fact that he hasn't released them yet leads one to wonder just what Trump is concealing. He should be forced to release these returns so that voters know exactly what they're getting into.

  • Yes, he should.

Donald Trump has made a big deal out of his worth and how good of a businessman he is. If he actually has as much money as he says he does, he should have to prove it. After all, he was never satisfied with Obama's claim that he was born in America.

  • Trump should prove his net worth

Donald Trump should release his tax returns and prove his net worth. All candidates have historically released their tax returns. It gives the impression that he has something to hide, and that he has engaged in some financial maneuverings that are legally questionable. It also could mean his net worth is not what he states.

  • No, I don't think a presidential candidate needs to prove how much he or she is worth in monetary terms.

No, I don't think Trump or Clinton or Sanders or any presidential candidate should have to prove his or her financial worth. I do, however, feel that seeing Trump's tax returns would shed a light on how honest he is. Does he cheat on taxes? Does he evade paying taxes? These things do need to be investigated.
