Was Alan Turing the most influential mathematician of the 20th century?

Asked by: Axonly
  • He was extraordinary!

Firstly, during World War 2 he helped crack enigma (The Germans encryption), because of this the war was estimated to have been shortened by two years, he was in many ways, responsible for saving millions of lives. Secondly, he developed the first Turing machines, which became a precursor for computers, which obviously has had an enormous impact on both life in the 20th century and life in the 21st century. As well as this he contributed to other fields of mathematical science such as biological mathematics.

  • C'mon, look at that picture

You can see how totally gay he was, who cares if he advanced the science of Mathematics ? "Firstly, during World War 2 he helped crack enigma (The Germans encryption), because of this the war was estimated to have been shortened by two years, "
"C'mon IBM was doing the same the the British were doing and they would have cracked the code soon after they did.
