  • Babe Ruth was not responsible for the Red Sox curse.

Babe Ruth was not responsible for any Red Sox curse. There was no curse, but it was a coincidence that the Red Sox did not win the World Series for a long time. People tend to be superstitious around sports, and this is just an example of such supersititions with no basis in reality.

  • Poor playing was

There was no real curse of the Bambino, and Babe Ruth being sold did not cause the Red Sox to so long not win a championship. Many teams have gone long times without winning championships, and the Sox streak was noteable because of their rivalry with the most winning team in baseball.

  • No not on Babe Ruth

Babe Ruth is not responsible for the Red sox curse, whoever traded him is responsible. Babe Ruth didn't ask to be traded, he just played the game. The Red Sox ownership made the mistake of trading him and deserve all the blame for any curse that may have come from it.

  • Babe Ruth was not responsible for the Red Sox curse.

Babe Ruth was not responsible for the Red Sox curse. The Boston Red Sox won the World Series in 1918. After the 1919 season Sox owner Harry Frazee sold Ruth to the New York Yankees for $100,000 and a $300,000 loan. His reasons: money to fund a theatrical production. I do not think that Babe Ruth was responsible for the curse after the fact.

  • He was a fine player.

No, Babe Ruth was not responsible for the Red Sox curse, because Babe Ruth was a fine player who did a lot for that team. Ruth was one of the greats. Many of the players who were not great would be much more responsible for any so-called curse. Also, the Sox weren't cursed, they just did not win for a long time.
