Was it appropriate to feature Edward Snowden as a speaker at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival?

  • Edward Snowden was an appropriate speaker

Having Edward Snowden speak at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival was an appropriate choice made by the organizers. His insight and information fit well into their target audience's desires. His high profile notoriety also boosted their reach and brought in new people to hear his speech as well as others.

  • Snowden is a hero

Edward Snowden is, or should be, a hero to Americans. Here is a guy who risked his career and frankly his life with the way that some government detractors disappear, most notably that reporter who hit a tree causing his car to explode and the engine to shoot out which makes no sense at all. He revealed that the government is ignoring the Constitution and invading the private lives of citizens for absolutely no valid reason.

  • Yes It Was

I believe it was appropriate to feature Edward Snowden as a speaker at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival. That is absolutely cast to the T for that forum and many of the people there probably found it quite beneficial, interesting, and thought provoking. I think Edward Snowden was an excellent choice.

  • He is a traitor.

No, it was not appropriate to feature Edward Snowden as a speaker at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival, because he is a traitor to the United States. Snowden leaked many things. He did not just tell us that we are being spied on; rather, he released confidential information that is damaging to us. He should not have been glorified by being speaker.
