  • No responses have been submitted.
  • Assistant Sheriff Shouldn't Have Lied to the Reporters

The Las Vegas assistant sheriff shouldn't have lied to the reporters at the beginning of the investigation. Revealing the facts would have made the case more sound upon the findings of the coroner. Placing blame on the victim, even though the victim was responsible for many deaths wasn't the way to handle the immediate situation.

  • He was wrong

The shooters, Amanda miller and Jared miller killed might have been horrible people but you still have to tell the truth. It's ok to kill out of self defense. Why lie about it? Your a cop. Be honorable. Be moral. Your the one whose job it is to protect people. Don't lie.

  • There are some things that people do for a reason.

Well in this case, no one really knows why the man lied. There are reasons why people do what they do, with no reason at all. So was he right or wrong, we honestly don't know, but if it benefited from the lie than may there was a reason, we all lie about something in our lives. No one is innocent.

  • Honesty is a requirement of our law enforcement officials

It is the duty of the law to uphold honesty and truth in their communication with the public. Even though for an individual this may be difficult at times, especially when he is personally involved, such as in his relationship with his wife. It is my belief that if our law enforcement officials are not honest with the public, how can the public rest securely?

  • He was wrong

I do not understand how a man like the assistant sheriff has the nerve to lie in front of the cameras without even blushing. I mean, this man is supossed to be in charge of the security in one of the most visited american cities, and he should not behave like this.
