  • Already more powerful

Women have been successfully leading nations with very little credit since BC. They have been the diplomatic peacekeepers while there husbands make rash decisions and go off to unnecessary wars. Women have been there whispering in mens ears persuading an empire, and being a puppeteer. I think its time we cut the strings and pull back the curtain. If women can't get more power they should at least get more recognition.

  • Women are awesome!

Women should have the exact same rights as men - they are the same species and have absolutely nothing different to men. It's silly to think that in this day and age, women still have to fight for equal rights! If you look into parliament then it is clear to see that men have the upperhand, with about 60:1 men to women ratio! Women are considered more mature, and are easily more organised and efficient. WOMEN ARE GREAT!

  • You don't steal power, you take it.

Power is only given to the one who deserves and has the strength required to take it, not to anyone who asks for it on the basis of their gender. You have to fight for yourselves, or be suppressed forever. Why is women's rights a thing today? Because women didn't had the strength to take power. Even in today's world, we won't just give power away. You have to struggle for it.

  • If you're pushing for equality, then why do we need more women?

If you say that no one should be judged by your gender/sex then why make a situation where there's an unfair advantage women? Aren't we right back where we started?

There needs to be a better way to deal with inequality issues.

P.S. Don't call me a filthy man, I'm agender and asexual.

  • There is no such necessity.

In a similar way to how there is no need for more men; there is no need for more women. Regardless of the given position in question (unless specifically required), decisions on recruitment or promotion/demotion should not be based on sex, but on suitability, responsibility competence, and/or any other valid criteria.

  • Not really no

No position of power should require men or women, just the best person available. If it's 9/10 men so be it, if it's 9/10 women so be it too. Whoever is hiring that person should (and usually knows) that sex has nothing to do with (which doesn't mean men and women are always equally as good as perfoming a task, that'd be a stupid generalization)

  • Gender shouldn't matter.

We need more competent PEOPLE in power. A person who is competent, intelligent, honest, compassionate and hardworking, is universally more important than their gender.

I don't think it's healthy for a society to go around counting how many women are at the highest levels of government or how many women sit on the boards of fortune 500 companies. Isn't it more important for a government or company to ask does this person qualify for a position of power, instead of asking does this person help us fill our quota for the year?

People should be in power because they have what it takes to be in power, not because they're a certain gender! This question is sexist and biased! ENOUGH with the stupid sexist questions, goddamn it!
