Jeff Teague has averaged 16 points and 6.5 assists per game in the past three seasons. The Pacers did not have a point guard like Teague for quite sometime. Teague is an aggressive point guard and ranked fifth by NBA.com statistics last season, in driving, attacking the rim 11.1 times per game.
Jeff Teague is a great addition to the Pacers because he gives them a point guard who can distribute the ball and make three-pointers. Teague averaged 16 points and 6 assists last year and also hit 40% of his three-pointers. He's a demonstrably better player than George Hill and is also younger than Hill.
Sure, why would he not help them? Looking at their record, they need all the help they can get. At this point a dwarf would be able to play better than most of the current players on the Indiana Pacers are able to play. Jeff Teague certainly could not do any worse.
Yes, I think that Jeff Teague will help the Pacers win games because is a former NBA All-Star and has the ability to run a basketball team effectively at the point guard position. The Pacers also have Paul George, who is arguably one of the best players in the league and the addition of Teague is a plus for the organization.
