  • Overpopulation is the end

I've heard tales of "Agenda 21" to lower the amount of people alive to 500,000. In truth I am all for this so long as I am one of the 500,000. We do not have enough resources on this planet to maintain the ridiculous population levels we are currently hitting. Ever hear your parents or grandparents say how much better things were when they were younger? This is due to the population growing by 2 billion in the last 24 years, can you imagine how much worse the situation will be when we are grandparents? I'm 23 years old, when I'm 80 the population will be nearly hitting 10 million. The only other option is space colonization to mine for more resources or terraform other planets.

  • Yes it will be the end of us.

As we have already started overpopulating the earth, the faster climate change is happening. The more people on earth, the more earth has to try and compensate for, and at the moment we are already over polluting it and causing major harm to nature. It is trying to keep up with us, but eventually it will no longer be able to and disasters will happen more and more till human kind is extinct.

  • How can overpopulation be ok with limited amount of Earth's resources?

Earth's resources are declining and marine wildlife (esp sharks) are rapidly declining to the point where it's unbelievable (99.9% of some shark species????) No ocean=no life on Earth. Humans are a plague to the Earth in my opinion and are very very stupid to be doing this and to also being aware of what is being done! It's all about money and greed greed and more greed. I'm totally ashamed to be a human. STOP HAVING BABIES YOU SELFISH PEOPLE!!!!

  • Complications from overpopulation will cause many humans to pass away.

Although extinction may not happen, overpopulation gives such things as disease a much easier pathway from human to human. Lack of food and clean water has a greater impact if the amount of people per square kilometre is higher. Population density increases the risk to everyone, no matter what disaster is being faced.

  • Resources will run out

When resources collapse, population will collapse. No re-building by survivors will be possible because access to raw materials will no longer be accessible i.E. No open cast mining or access to energy. A hunter gatherer existence may be possible but it will never evolve into a technological society again. We will become superior apes and will adapt according to what is needed to survive.

  • Yes it will be.

We are the only species that defy the law of natural selection and evade evolution. We keep our disabled around longer, heal our sick, and extend the lives of those who nature, naturally (lol), would not have allowed to live. Our empathy towards others clouds our judgement. We want to prolong lives of our loved ones. Had we been as smart as we claim to be, we would have never let the overpopulation get to the point that it is today. The rise in population is ultimately leading to our downfall. Nothing is getting better, the condition of living are getting worse.

  • Yes it will be

Yes, overpopulation will be the end of us. Our resources are running out. Water is polluted, trees are being chopped down, and buildings are being built, even though there are buildings that are vacant. We are running out of room to plant food and people continue to have children. Unemployment is up so much. We need to stop populating so much.

  • Overpopulation is a world wide problem

We live in a world with finite resources. Even though the United States is energy independent with coal and natural gas we still import 60% of our oil from other countries. Renewable resources are not being used enough. While we have plenty we don't recycle or reuse enough in this throw away society. While we enjoy a land of plenty we have to realize our resources are limited. We need to utilize all the space we can for food productions. Save all the resources we can and become more self sufficient. Allowing for small gardens in residential neighborhoods and the ability to produce food for ourselves and family. To deal with this problem is a group effort.

  • It Will Not End Us

Overpopulation is an issue that is serious, but it will not end us all. There are already many areas of the world that are overpopulated. Overpopulation will just make us build more and have to be more creative in the way we adjust to population growth. Something like this will not end us.

  • So many candidates

I don't think overpopulation will be the thing that wipes us out, though it will make life a lot tougher. All it takes is one country to disregard the concept of mutually assured destruction and a lot of things blow up very quickly, that or succumbing to a deteriorating planet are more likely ends.
