Will Paul Ryan's popularity as house speaker suffer from his having blocked 87,000 petitions regarding Planned Parenthood from reaching his desk?
  • Yes, his popularity will suffer.

Yes, Paul Ryan's popularity will go down. I feel he's not that popular as it is. But he is in a very powerful position. As he continues to do stupid things that make him look like an out of touch elitist, more and more people will take offense and his popularity will diminish greatly.

  • He'll lose support

Not all Republicans are against Planned Parenthood and not all Democrats hate Paul Ryan. There are people crossing the lines, and these are the people that are going to withdrawal their support for Ryan. He needs to remember that he is there to represent ALL of the people and not just his own interests.

  • Yes, I think so.

Paul Ryan needs to be defunded, replaced, or repealed. Why is the House Leader so frightened of citizen's signatures? it is absolutely unacceptable that an elected official turns away his/her constituents. The voters voted him to represent their wishes; as such, he has an obligation to listen to the folks he's representing.

  • Paul Ryan's popularity as house speaker will not suffer from his having blocked petitions about Planned Parenthood.

Paul Ryan's popularity as house speaker will not suffer from his having blocked petitions about Planned Parenthood. Mainly because his constituents would not want him to support Planned Parenthood. He will still be popular with his base and he is in the majority party which, by extension puts him above the competition also.
