Yes, President Trump's plans for the Keystone and Dakota oil pipelines will negate the United States' environmental successes because Native Americans fought so hard to preserve their land, only to have it erased by a television host. He does not know what he's doing, and he will pollute the country if it makes him money.
Things are going to get much, much harder, and the thing I'm most terrified of now - is now you have a president who encourages violence at his rallies. He's encouraged racism. I think the tribe's worries that the pipeline would destroy its sacred sites and compromise its water supply "were not based on the facts"
Pres. Trump's plans for the Keystone and Dakota oil pipelines will not negate environmental successes enjoyed by the United States. For there to be success it has to be quantifiable. There has to be some demonstration that the oil pipelines would cause harm to the environment. No such evidence has been presented.
It can't be good for the environment for Americans to be getting their oil from the other side of the world. It must be much less expensive to access the oil right in North America. Technology is better than it ever was before. There are ways to harvest oil without hurting the economy.
