The transfer of LucasFilm into Disney should not change the movie, this transfer will only make LucasFilm financially safer. The same people are still making Star Wars, (with the exception of George Lucas) and they still have piles of ideas they've had from George for a whole new trilogy. This movie should be the most epic one yet. They wouldn't let anything happen to it. It's still going to be good ole Star Wars for sure.
They will probably introduce a new Princess. Maybe she will turn into an ewok and have to be kissed so she can be a human again. Or maybe Luke will take a ride on a magic carpet over the deserts of Tatooine while his sister sings "A Whole New World".
No, I don't think that the new Star Wars movie will be epic. It might be good (or even great), but sequels (especially sequels that come out many years later) rarely are as good as the original. This is definitely true for the latter three Star Wars films that came out.
Disney... that great corporation that brought you such great sequels as: The Lion King 2, The Little Mermaid 2, Mulan 2, and who can forget the Lion King 1 and 1/2? Their sequels usually are really, really stupid or really, really poorly done. And for a genre that has a picky audience... not a good combo...
The new Star Wars movie will not be epic. There is no reason to think it will be. The last few films have been underwhelming, so I expect the same from this one. They should have just left the franchise alone. There was no need to bring it back and ruin the name.
