The Red Sox have better talent all around than the Cardinals and have a lot of momentum behind them with TWO grand slams in the previous series to boost their hopes in winning. They have better hitting with Pedrioa, Papi, and Napoli who have all homered at least once this postseason. They have a better bullpen with Breslow and MVP Uhera. And they arguably have better starting pitching with Lester, Buckholtz, and Peavy who have all had quality starts this postseason. On top of all that, they have home field advantage in the historic Fenway Park. The Cardinals simply have no competition with them
Their pitchers and defense is far superior to the cardinals and this will result in a victory for the Red Sox. Also Pedroia will end up clutching the series and stop the cardinals offense. Big Papi (David Ortiz) will run the Red Sox offense and end up getting walked because the cardinals are afraid of his hitting abilities.
I have applied a fool proof simulation that calculates the chances of each team winning the World Series. Using data such as RBI, pitch stats, and looking at personnel, the simulation shows that the cardinals have less than a 1 percent chance of winning. The Red Sox have better than a 98 percent chance of winning.
The Red Sox only have to win one of two games to win the series. They have a higher advantage compared to St.Louis. They also will have change to change their plan if they fail during tonight's game. They will be able to plan something to help them beat St.Louis, or increase the changes of doing so.
The Red Sox are having a better offensive post season. The cards arent doing much with allen craig out and beltran bearly hitting, the red sox can take out the starting pitchers of st. Louis. Just because the obstruction call the series is tied. So with boston hitters coming in clutch when it matters the red sox will take it in 6 and in 7 if it goes there.
Obviously the Cardinals have a better starting rotation in Adam Wainright, Michael Wacha, Lance Lynn, and Joe Kelly. They also have a better lineup overall. They have Matt Carpenter with 199 hits in the season. They have veterans in Carlos Beltran and Yadier Molina. Their bullpen is by far the best in the MLB. They have the overall edge in the World Series.
The St. Louis Cardinals have a five-time Golden Glove Award catcher and an outstanding starting pitching rotation under their belts. They have been to the postseason ten times in the past fourteen years. It is their turn to redeem themselves against the Boston Red Sox from the 2004 World Series.
