Yes, wind energy is an important part of fighting global warming as it is a free, renewable energy source that gives off no greenhouse gases at all. As such, it should be used on a mass scale in order to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases that are currently generated.
To create a balanced energy policy, all forms of green energy must be used. This includes utilizing wind, solar, geothermal, hydroelectric, nuclear and biofuel sources for energy. Reducing our carbon footprint is only one benefit of using green energy. Other pollutants will be reduced and an entirely new economy/industry will be created with green technologies as a backbone.
