Women seek pay rises as much as men, but with less success. According to a new study, the theory that women get paid less than men because they are not sufficiently pushy in the workplace is not true. Do women face workplace discrimination?
  • Yes, women face workplace discrimination

It is more difficult for women to gain career advancement when they have an interruption of their career due to pregnancy or family issues. It is not a matter of being pushy or aggressive in the workplace. A woman can not maintain the career focus if she chooses to have a family and that is a form of discrimination. Employers need to provide a fair environment for working mothers.

  • Yes, absolutely they do.

Some of this descrimination is subtle and institutionalized. Women are asked to get coffee or run other secretarial type errands more often than men. Women are asked about thier plans to have a family more often. But it is not always subtle. Sometimes women are flat out told they are not suited for the job because they are women.

  • Inequality Is Alive and Well in Rural and Metropolitan United States Businesses

It still goes on, it's America's dirty little secret of continued oppression of the female population. When will it stop? Not anytime soon. America, even if Hillary Rodham Clinton is elected will not suddenly make a corrective action of equal employment, equal pay for half its population. Yes, there are those who seemingly have risen above but they are the examples and not the norm.

  • Women face workplace discrimination

Women still face workplace discrimination. A recent study backs this up. It showed that women seek pay rises as much as men, but with less success. This debunks the theory that women get paid less than men because they are not sufficiently pushy in the workplace. Men are still the ones primarily in power, and are more apt to give promotions and raises to those that are most like them.

  • Load of B.S.

This supposed study is false. The way they got to the "fact" that they make less for the same job is calculated by how much they make in a year not how much they make in a hour. Woman make less in a year for the same job because they WORK LESS HOURS THAN MEN. They take off more to take the kids to the doctor pick them up from school e.C.T. This idea that they get paid less an hour is a lie. And is not how they got to the number. This idea that woman a discriminated is a bunch of liberal B.S. Woman all in all have more money than men as a whole. 67% of woman also go to collage over men. But they don't take engineering or science degrees like men do witch is the highest paying jobs. They take sociology, gender studies, english lit. Sorry but the victim crap is exactly what it is crap. By the way by Hillary Clinton pays woman less
