Yes, Australia is a better tourist destination than Holland, because there is more to see in Australia. Australia not only has miles of beaches, they have Ayers Rock, Uluru and the outback. There is also the Great Barrier Reef. A person could vacation for 6 months in Australia and barely scratch the surface.
I don't think there is any way to quantitatively say that Australia is a better tourist destination than Holland, both are great in their own right. Australia has excellent beaches and wildlife while Holland has amazing history, beautiful flowers, and great museums. Each country would suit the needs of different travelers.
Just because one country beats another in the world cup doesn't mean that country is a better tourist destination than the other. If the Dallas Cowboys defeated the New England Patriots in American Football, that wouldn't make Dallas, Texas a better tourist spot than New England. Tourists spots are judged based on how much a person likes that place, not a sports team.
While Australia is a country that more people would think of when they think of vacation destinations, Holland has plenty of things to offer, a quieter tourist destination full of history. They have a rich culture, just like Australia, but I would rather go to a country that is a little more off the beaten path.
