Would Mitt Romney have been the best choice for President in terms of economic recovery?

  • I feel inclined to say yes.

He had tons of experience in the business world. He has the brains and the ability. His money management skills are off the chain and he has a good religious back ground that is full of honesty and service. He also would have changed social policy giving more money back to the economy.

  • Yes - he is much more qualified to lead

Mitt Romney is a proven leader and could have gotten our country back on track. Instead, we are stuck another four years of Obama and his commitment to driving our country further in debt by promoting leftist and socialist policies. Romney is far more qualified and could have been a terrific president.

  • Business Success 70%

We need a person of moral character guided by principle not preference; of courage & mastery of details, trustworthy not charm or pomp or bombast speech. The best candidate will put families first not business, because out of good family values good character is built; spirituality & good community values are nurtured which are fundamental to service in family communities, nations & the world. Mitt Romney fits that profile. You née saying can not change that

  • The country deserves what it votes for

During a time of incredible economic turmoil Mitt Romney was poised at the exact right time for the presidency. It's as if you had a heart attack while sitting next to a cardiac surgeon. Not only was he the perfect man for the time he was too perfect. So perfect in fact that people couldn't accept it. The U.S was like an abuse victim who seeks out they're next abuser. The U.S deserves all the horribleness it has had to deal with because it elects the wrong people. Romney was an answer to the prays of the country but we're too messed up to realize it.

  • Dude mitt romney would give people jobs instead of money that gets wasted!

All Obama does is throw away money. If you see Mitt saw a homeless person on the street, he would give him a job, not money that gets wasted. Anyway, Obama only gets votes because he bribes people who don't know the choices that he makes for our country. Mitt should have won for SOOOOOOOOOO many more reasons.

  • Romney was cheated

Mitt Romney would have been a great President like Reagan. Obama has cheated with voters fraud and new Black panthers. Who are still his body guards. He does not respect the Secret service because he is Muslim and in his heart hates America. Radical as well. Very Sick in head.

  • Mitt Romney should have won and everyone is starting to realize this.

Barack Hussein Obama? Need I say more. What has he accomplished in 5 years? Is the country even hinting at going in the right direction under his leadership? The country is more divided than ever, politically toxic and there is no news of things looking up in the near future. Mitt was a genuine honest guy who unlike Barrack would have put politics and personal grudges behind him to do what was right and best for the country.

  • Compare to Barack Obama

Yes. Mitt Romney's life prepared him for the presidency. Being a businessman gave Mitt Romney a unique insight into the economy. President Obama is a totally different story. I think personally Barack obama is a great guy. But the President lied about the health care law, and Benghazi. Compare that to a guy who understood how the economy works.

  • More leadership qualities

Mitt Romney should have been the President of the United States. He has far more leadership then Obama. This country would be better off today if he was voted in as president and the country is seeing problems already and regrets. We are on a down hill spiral until another proven leader takes over. When a country turns its back on God, its in serious trouble.

  • No way in hell

Romney was a failure as governor of my home state of Massachusetts. He did the total opposite of what he promised. Big Government, high debt, 47th in job creation, cutting taxes just for rich people. To be honest, Romney was never interested in doing the job as governor, he only wanted to have the job to make a realistic Presidential run. I don't know how people bought his message of creating jobs and cutting taxes.

  • Mitt for President?

One thing that always turned me off from voting for Mitt Romney is that he never seemed like a genuine candidate. He always appeared to be a sort of puppet for the people who funded his campaign. His five-point plan and tax cuts for the super rich always told me that his importance was not with the working class but with the people who funded him.

  • he's a puppet for the ultra-rich

I know i know - 250K does not a billionaire make - HOWEVER 4% more the rich and the super-rich is what this country needs right now. They don't care about other peoples' children (mitt romney and the right) they only care about their own - as Bill Clinton said, the difference between Republicans and Democrats is when Republicans reach the top they want to pull the ladder up after them.

  • Romney’s policies would have been a disaster for the economy.

Romney’s plan to slash public spending would have taken money out of the economy thereby increasing unemployment and reducing demand for goods and services. This would have impoverished businesses and ordinary citizens alike. Meanwhile, cutting taxes for the rich does not mean that wealthy people will give waitresses bigger tips, or buy more Ferraris, or drink more Dom Perignon, or eat more Beluga caviar - the supposed trickle-down effect whereby restaurant workers, car salesmen and shop assistants employed in up-market establishments benefit from the increased profligacy of decadent toffs and wealthy snobs is a myth - it just means wealthy people will put more money in their (usually offshore) bank accounts
