YouTube and other websites classify the iPad as a mobile device. Should it be considered a computer?

Asked by: TheInterlang
  • The iPad isn't a mobile device any more than a laptop.

I am tired of websites like YouTube telling me "the content is not available on mobile". It is just a simple music video, not anything naughty in case you are wondering.

News blogs redirect to dumbed-down versions that may be great on a phone, but I expect more out of a device with a 10 inch screen and a 1.5 GHz dual-core chip.

Websites need to loosen up and count the iPad as a computer, instead of a mobile phone.

Why does YouTube even forbid mobiles from watching certain videos? It can't possibly be ads, since I get ads all the time.
