That stem cell research should be legal

questionmark
TigerFB21

Topic is self-explanatory, so I'll throw my first two points out and let Con have at it. The first really big thing about stem cell research is the obvious; that is, we can take stem cells and use them to cure many diseases/medical conditions, including but not limited to the following:spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, Parkinson's Disease, and Alzheimer's Disease. The second big thing is that new transplants can be grown from stem cells, so organ donors are no longer nee...

That Stem Cell Research should be legal.

The title is self-explanatory, I'm con, so whoever takes this is going to support stem cell research (SCR), I'll throw my first two points out there and let Pro have at it. Point 1:In order to harvest embryonic stem cells, you have to destroy an embryo, which is a human life, which makes it murder. Murder is spelled out as illegal in America, yet if you are murdering for science, apparently that is okay. Where is the logic there? Point 2:Supposedly, SCR can cure dozens of diseases and medi...

I. INTRODUCTION Greetings, DDO. I noticed that debate challenges have been pretty scarce lately, so I decided to post one of my own. This will be a three-round debate, during which I will spend the first round making any necessary clarifications, and using Rounds 2 and 3 to make and conclude my arguments. I acknowledge that as Pro (and more importantly, as the instigator) I have the burden of proof. Thus I ask that my future opponent utilize R1 to either accept or refute my clarifications; I...

x-x/=0

questionmark
leet4A1

Ok, I'm going to set up a series of mathematical equations to prove that x-x does not equal 0 all the time. Some quick terminology: /= does not equal. 8 infinity. x variable. - minus. + plus. = equal to. x-x=0 a number minus itself equals zero x=8 x equals infinity 8-8=0 because a number minus itself is zero, 8-8 is 0 as well 8+5=8 because infinity cant get any bigger 8+3=8 because infinity cant get any bigger 8+5-8+3=8-8 because of the last two lines 8+5-8+3=8-8+5-3 either the commutativ...

Leave our troops in Iraq

questionmark
SaintNick

First off, thank you to my opponent for acepting this debate, I look forward to debating this topic. Second, notice that I am talking about whether we should leave our troops in Iraq. I'm not going to debate whether or not the war itself is wrong, whose fault it is, etc. I am here to debate whether or not we should pull all of our troops out of Iraq at once. The first round goes to the contender....
