A Millionaire for Christy is a 1951 comedy film directed by George Marshall, and starring Fred MacMurray and Eleanor Parker. A screwball comedy, where Christy Sloane is a legal secretary who is sent to California to inform radio host Peter Lockwood that he has just inherited $2 million. Christy Sloane is sent to Los Angeles on a business trip to inform Peter Ulysses Lockwood that he has inherited 2 million dollars from his deceased uncle. Constantly broke because of her family, Christy is in financial straits. Her friend at work advises her to not tell Peter the news until she snags him....
