Babe: Pig in the City is a 1998 sequel to the 1995 film Babe. It occurs in the fictional city of Metropolis. Despite being a sequel to a highly-acclaimed children's film which, for the most part, had a charming and light-hearted atmosphere, Pig in the City had an unexpected darker tone and contained more mature subject matter .
