Propelled to fame during the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, Pedro Infante was one of the country's biggest stars. Nicknamed El Mdolo, the dashing actor had a prolific film career that boasted over 60 pictures. Tragically, Infante died in a plane crash in 1957, breaking the hearts of millions of fans and abruptly bringing to an end, some say, this boom period for Mexico's film industry. In this release from the COLECCION PEDRO INFANTE, however, his legacy lives on. MEXICANOS AL GRITO DE GUERRA tells the story of a brave soldier (Infante), determined to save Mexico from French invasion. Unfortunately for him, he falls in love with a girl who happens to be the niece of the French Ambassador.
