Dean Edward Hamel is a former American football defensive tackle in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at the University of Tulsa and was drafted in the twelfth round of the 1985 NFL Draft. Dean began his college career at Coffeville Community College as an offensive tackle in 1980. He was on the same team as future Heisman Trophy winner, Mike Rozier. Hamel now resides in Lenoir, North Carolina and works in a plant in the area. He works with a company named 3 up 3 down with speed and agility training.
