Game Overview

Experience Kratos' journey during the 10 years of servitude to the Gods of Olympus. In God of War: Chains of Olympus, Kratos will venture to lands that no mortal has ever walked upon. With the world plunged in eternal darkness and the Gods rendered powerless, Kratos will ultimately be forced to choose between his own personal redemption and saving the ancient world from certain destruction. Developed from the outset as an original story, God of War: Chains of Olympus delivers highly detailed graphics, incredible animation detail and yet another adventure in the dark and brutal world of Greek mythology.

The Bottom Line

As many who know the tales of the God of War know, Kratos, after being deceived into killing his wife and daughter, denounced his service to Ares. In order to seek absolution from his past sins, the Ghost of Sparta pledged himself as a champion to the Gods for the years to follow -- these brutal crusades, in the name of Olympus, became legendary throughout the ancient world....

Although it feels a bit like God of War: Lite, Chains of Olympus delivers a great, combat-heavy adventure with excellent production values.

The story will lure you in, the lack of load times will make the adventure seem seamless and the visual and aural treat will keep you in the game until you get to the very end.

A stellar achievement on the PSP. It plays perfectly into the franchise's storyline and offers up the same level of intense action as its console counterparts. It's also the best looking title on the system, without question. Engaging from start to finish

Kratos

Kratos
Also known as: The God of War This former Spartan general has suffered from a bit of bad luck. He's lost everything he holds dear and he's a bit cranky because of it. The only man to face off against the gods, he eventually becomes a god himself, reigning supreme over all in his way, and it looks like he'll keep on fighting as long as he has a breath left in his body.
