Hank Williams

Debates and Opinions

  • Who is the King of Country Music?

The lack of Hank Williams in this debate saddens me. I really wasn't going to add much more except that there are some others who can be deemed worthy such as Hank Williams and Randy Travis whom were mentioned in the comments. Williams and Cash would be at the top of the list if it was "Who is your Favorite Country Artist", but neither of them changed Country the way Acuff did.

  • Is Taylor Swift a Country Singer

Like Travis Tritt (Here's A Quarter Call Someone Who Cares) or Hank Williams  (Your Cheatin` Heart), Love is not a requirement in country music, so this isn't a reason why Taylor can't be country.

  • Who's your favorite musician who sings about politics?

He is the son of legendary country music singer Hank Williams and the father of Hank Williams III, Holly Williams, Hilary Williams, Samuel Williams, and Katie Williams.Williams began his career by following in his famed father's footsteps, singing his father's songs and imitating his father's style. Randall Hank Williams, better known as Hank Williams, Jr. Initially inspired by the performance style of Little Richard, and the songwriting of Woody Guthrie, Robert Johnson, and Hank Williams, Dylan has both amplified and personalized musical genres.
