  • General Patton Was Overall A Better General Than Montgomery And MacArthur

The Generals that stand out the most are George Patton, Douglas MacArthur, and Bernard Montgomery. In all honesty I do not like MacArthur or Montgomery. MacArthur focused too much on his political status, and Monty was too slow to react and adjust when things didn't go according to plan during a battle.

  • The Pen Is Mightier Than The Sword

"Whoever said 'the pen is mightier than the sword' obviously never encountered automatic weapons " - General Douglas MacArthur. The phrase to me states that in times of war, negotiation is stronger then confrontation and conflict when it comes down to warring nations.

"General Douglas MacArthur, who led the US occupation of Japan after the end of World War II, actively encouraged unionisation of the workforce, so as to guard against Japan's return to militarism. Coupled with extensive land reforms, this piece of social engineering helped relaunch Japan as a miracle economy."
