Raging Bull

Debates

  • Rocky was there ever a better movie in this genre

However, the movie that I would propose is equal or better than Rocky is Scorsese's Raging Bull. Ultimately, after viewing the two side by side, I suggest that one would have to admit that Raging Bull has the most intrinsic value, although Rocky may have the most entertainment value. While I would agree that Raging Bull was an excellent film , I feel it was very different from Rocky in many ways.

  • Robert De Niro better actor than Al Pacino

For example we have the film Raging Bull in which De Niro won an oscar for Best Actor and he had to gain almost 50 pounds for the end of the film. The movie Casino was directed by Martin Scorcese and you have to remember that he directed Robert De Niro in previous movie classics like Taxi Driver, King of Comedy, Goodfellas, and Raging Bull. His characters vary from gangster to sinner gone holy in The Mission or soldier coming back from the Vietnam war in Deer Hunter in which he delivers a unforgettable strong performance alongside Christopher Walken.

Opinions

  • Are movies better than books?

Once Upon a Time in America, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Rushmore, these are incredible films that have everything a reader would love. But in movies, you truly get a stronger emotional response.
