Human beings have free will
Twelve right-handed subjects (aged 22-29) were tested using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging in the University of Leipzig. However, “critics still picked holes, pointing out that Haynes and his team could predict a left or right button press with only 60% accuracy….” (4)
In both cases, the accuracy exceeded 50%, which as of now proves a strong correlative, if not causative relationship between the brain activity and the decision. The problem is, simply, that my argument was much stronger than the claim that people need to perceive or believe that they are rationally deliberating in order to rationally come to conclusions - it's that there does need to be such a thing as free will in order for our rational deliberations to even make any sense.
