Devout Christian absent fathers should not pay child maintenance

(Post Voting Period) Jesus' father, God, impregnated Jesus' mother, Mrs Mary Christ, and then did a runner leaving her and her husband, Mr Joseph Christ, to bring up the parental duty-dodging deity's son on a lowly carpenter's wage.

You may think God was a cad and a bounder for putting a married woman up the duff and then legging it back to Heaven, and that such behaviour would be more befitting a chav on the Jeremy Kyle Show rather than that of a respectable god, but never mind that, pious Christians are supposed to have blind faith in their religion, and not to ask any awkward questions, so devout absent fathers should follow God's example and not pay any money to help bring their kids up.

This may mean they go to prison here on earth but that is better than going to hell in the afterlife for defying God's will.

Thank you.

"Race Traitor" is a Fallacy

(Post Voting Period)
Resolved: The term "Race Traitor" is a fallacy.

Note to the reader: This is a 3 round debate designed to be a quick read for voters. Voting on this debate will take very little of your time.

Definition of Terms:

Race: 1. any of the traditional divisions of humankind, some being "Asian," "White," "African-American," "Native-American," "Latino," etc. characterized by supposedly distinctive and universal physical characteristics:(modified from Dictionary.com)

Traitor 1 : one who betrays another's trust or is false to an obligation or duty (Webster's Dictionary)

Fallacy 1 : a false or mistaken idea
2 : an often plausible argument using false or invalid inference
(Webster's Dictionary)

Organization of Debate

Round 1 Acceptance ONLY

<stro

Catholicism is NOT real Christianity

(Post Voting Period) Guidelines:

-This is not an argument over the existence of God, the divinity of Jesus, or the divine inspiration of the Bible, but of the credibility of the Catholic religion
-Round 1: Opening statement by each person (no arguing/rebuttals in R. 1)
-Round 2: Rebutting opening statements
-Round 3: Argument period
-Round 4: More argument period
-Round 5: Closing statements. No new arguments in R. 5 are accepted
--------------

I do not believe that Catholicism is real Christianity. My argument will be split in to four points which I will later address:

1. Catholics pray to dead saints and worship idols.
2. Having a Pope is not Biblical or necessary.
3. Catholics worship Mary.
4. The Catholic Church has pagan and anti-Biblical roots and views.

1) We have all heard Catholics say things like "Saint _____, pray for us". The Catholics have special prayers for saints, such as "A Parent's Prayer to St. Joseph", which can be read here: http://w

The God of the Bible Exists

(Voting Period)
First round is for opening arguments. The BOP is shared.

FULL RESOLUTION: It is probable that the Biblical God exists.

==================
OPENING ARGUMENTS
==================

Argument from Biblical Defects (ABD)

(P1) If the God of evangelical Christianity were to exist, then the Bible would be God's only written revelation.

(P2) Thus, if that deity were to exist, then he would probably see to it that the Bible is perfectly clear and authoritative, and lack the appearance of merely human

Poseidon is more powerful than Hades.

(Post Voting Period) This is a simple debate, meant to be interesting/entertaining. By more powerful, I mean that in a one on one match, no sea creatures or undead/harpies/three-headed dogs, Poseidon could defeat Hades.

By more powerful, I do NOT mean that because Hades rules over the underworld and all of it's denizens, he can build up some sort of economic empire using the undead as workers. Nor do I mean that he can pool all the wisdom of the undead, thus amassing more knowledge than Poseidon and therefore being more powerful, at least according to the saying, "Knowledge is power". This a cage match. Brute power vs brute power.

First round is meant to clear up any questions.

Second and third round- argument/rebuttal.

Feel free to come up with some cheap shot, like Hades using his invisibility cap or stealing Zeus's bolt and using it in the match. This is supposed to be fun!!! Maybe we can posit various scenarios, and the one with most winning scenarios wins?

(Post Voting Period) No Video, Most lolz wins.

1) Black people have black kids, tall people have tall kids, therefore gay people will have gay kids. Do we really want more gay kids ?

2) God doesn't like gays, we know this cause the bible says so, and we know the bible and our interpretation of the bible is true because...........God just doesn't like gays ok.

3) Homosexuality is against nature and therefore should be banned, unlike hot dogs, computers and air planes. Things that are for nature include floods, hurricanes and snakes.

4) Jerry Falwell says God hates gay so much, that it helped cause 911 and hurricane Katrina, hey would he lie to you ?

5) Gay marriage doesn't make sense, I mean if you have two men where does the penis go ?

6) Oh I think I just figured 5) out............that ain't right.

7) If gays are allowed to marry, the terrorists win.

8) More gays means more gay actors, and we don't need any more sitcoms like will and grace now do we ?
