Mods should work to prevent and sanction personal attacks.

(Post Voting Period)
This debate was inspired by WriterDave's thread: http://www.debate.org/forums/debate.org/topic/20753/1

In the OP, WriterDave suggests that the current moderator(s) ought to respond to personal insults and attacks by deleting abusive posts and comments. Taken a step further, repeat offenders should be banned. Almost every single person who posted in the thread disagrees with these sentiments, so I should have absolutely no problem finding an opponent for this debate.

Round 1 will be utilized for acceptance and clarifications; I will begin my opening arguments in Round 2. Thank you.

(Post Voting Period)
Yeah this is really going down right now! The epic video rap battle between two DDO users with 3 letters in their usernames. This will be the most epeic rap battle in the history of DDO so I hope ya'll are ready for this, because things are about to get REAL son.

Accept my challenge... If you dare!
Famer's Story Writing Debating Tournament, Imabench vs Ren!

(Post Voting Period) I thank my opponent Imabench for taking part of Famer's story writing debating tournament. The basic idea of this debate is that both sides must together write a story. Whoever creates the most interesting continuation/orientation/conclusion of the story wins the vote for "most convincing arguments."

The Glutton's Bane

It began with a sandwich. Clearly, not just any sandwich; as a genesis, this was an extraordinary sandwich.

Marty, Klaus, and Ginger sat at the table, looking over the menu when this extraordinary sandwich caught Marty's attention. However, this was not extraordinary—the sandwich bore such a name that would inevitably attract Marty like so many bees to a festively plump woman wearing a floral perfume and Charlie Brown's sweater. It was called The Glutton's Bane, and Marty knew it was for him. Indeed, his greasy skin, double chin, and unkempt hair concurred and once he looked up at his friends to announce his in

Rap Battle. (TV Characters)

(Post Voting Period) This will be a four round rap battle with the first being the acceptance round. Challenger picks first, I will take one of the remaining characters. The characters are as follows:
Al Bundy (Married With Children)
Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm)
Dexter Morgan (Dexter)
Kenny Powers (Eastbound and Down)

We will write rhymes as if we were the character we chose. Each rap should be at least 20 lines although there is no limit. That's basically it and good luck to the challenger.

(Post Voting Period) Abortion, or the intentional cancellation of a pregnancy, is a form of euthanasia, which is defined as causing or assisting in the painless death of another.

Legally and morally, these concepts should be synonymous and treated as such.

It is more important for a heterosexual woman to be sexy than a heterosexual man.

(Post Voting Period)
Sexy: To be physically attractive to the OPPOSITE gender.

Well I would like to point out that while men attract women with money, success, status or humour. Women attract men with looks primarily.

Most women would go for a less physically sexy but more emotionally securing/pleasing option. On the other hand, most men would put up with a hot girl's b*tchiness if the nice girls she was competing with didn't visually please him all that much (NOT ALL MEN AND WOMEN APPLY TO THIS RULE OBVIOUSLY).

This I propose that for a women to be sexy is a more essential and important issue for her than being sexy is for a man.

(Post Voting Period)
I thank my opponent Ren for taking part of Famer's story writing debating tournament. This is the final round of Famer's knock-out tournament.
Is Ren or Vardas0Antras correct ?

(Voting Period) Ren has posted this:

"To approach Marauder: according to Mosaic Law, sinning resulted in execution, often through stoning or conquest, or even by God's hand through burning, drowning, or plagues. The Gospel is literally a detraction of that approach--it was God saying that we should no longer judge one another and instead, love one another. Furthermore, consistent with many decisions He made throughout the Bible, such as the Covenant, that He will no longer be vengeful. Perhaps man finally reached a level of maturity so that God felt as though He could speak to us like adults rather than spank us like children."

Then I said:

" "Perhaps man finally reached a level of maturity so that God felt as though He could speak to us like adults rather than spank us" I'll debate you on this !! The resolution would be something like "This is probably not the case" "

He agreed though he had one condition:
" that science is not assumed contradictory to religion."

It is ethical for God to send people to Hell.

(Post Voting Period) -DEFINITIONS-

God: The Christian God... omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, omni-benevolent.
Hell: the abode of Satan and the forces of evil; where sinners suffer eternal punishment (Princeton Wordnet)
ethical: ethical motive: motivation based on ideas of right and wrong (Princeton Wordnet)

-BURDEN-

Pro must show that it is completely ethical or mostly ethical for God to condemn people to Hell. Pro can do this by showing why my points are irrelevant, unethical, fallacious, etc. In doing this, pro must avoid those attributes himself. Pro is NOT welcome to play with semantics.

Oppositely, Con must show that is completely unethical or mostly unethical for God to condemn people to Hell. Con is bound by the same guidelines as Pro (see above).

To begin, I believe it is UNETHICAL for God to send people to Hell. Onto my case...

-NEGATIVE CASE-

A: Criteria for acceptance into Heaven, estimations, and sin

Sin = vialation of a law of God (e.g. 1

That police should ONLY break up violent protests

(Post Voting Period) Protest have to be broken up when they keep others from being able to use public services. Take one of the Occupy protests last year for example. The protestors blocked a public bridge for hours, causing a massive traffic jam that lasted for hours. This caused several people to be late and some lost their jobs because of it. The police arrested the protestors. This case proves that police should not only break up violent protests but also non violent too.

The Death Penalty Should Not Be Legal.

(Post Voting Period) I would like to thank my opponent for deciding to debate this topic with each other. I look forward to us debating such a controversial topic and am sure we have lots to say :)

First off, I would like to say that I am aware that 34 out of the 50 states allow the death penalty and this is appalls me. I have noticed in my 18 years of life, that the justice system in our country is far from perfect. But, it is ridiculous how guilty people can walk free at times and the innocent can be executed when they are wrongly accused of a crime.

Recently, a 17 year old boy named Trayvon Martin apparently looked "suspicious" and was murdered - even when young Trayvon was begging for his life. All the poor boy had on him was skittles, an iced tea, the clothes on his back, and a cell phone! The man who murdered him, named George Zimmermann, was part of the neighborhood watch in Florida, an area where the death penalty is allowed, and this man walks free for murder with no
