(Post Voting Period) It is morally permissible to kill one innocent person to save the lives of more innocent people. This is right because even though though you are killing one person you are giving life to more innocent persons. This is justified by consequentialism. If the concenquences of killing one person is saving the lives of more innocent persons then it is justified.

Underage boys should not be supervised by gay men

(Voting Period) What would a grown man's motive be to volunteer to become a Scout leader, a soccer coach or a choirmaster? These types of posts are unpaid so the motive cannot be financial. It could well be that the man simply wants to pass on his skills to the younger generation, which is most commendable. However, in the case of a gay man, it could be that he enjoys the close company of boys because he is sexually attracted to them.

Tragically, you don't have to look far to find stories about gay men abusing boys in their trust...

Of course, not all homosexual men are paedophiles, but neither are most straight men. Nevertheless, a heterosexual man would not be allowed to take a group of underage girls on a camping trip and it therefore follows that a homosexual man should not be

January First is New Years Day

(Voting Period) A portion of January First, beginning at midnight, is still referred to as New Years Eve, not New Years Day; therefore "January First" and "New Years Day" do not refer to the same thing. If you want to meet someone on New Years Eve right after the party you do not refer to it as "tomorrow."

(Post Voting Period) In our Current society, people claim that they are non- conformists. However, by joining this group of people, "the Non-Conformists" you are conforming to a certain set of standards and beliefs, therefore, conforming.

Leave our troops in Iraq

(Post Voting Period) First off, thank you to my opponent for acepting this debate, I look forward to debating this topic. Second, notice that I am talking about whether we should leave our troops in Iraq. I'm not going to debate whether or not the war itself is wrong, whose fault it is, etc. I am here to debate whether or not we should pull all of our troops out of Iraq at once. The first round goes to the contender.
