Australia Should Go Nuclear

(Post Voting Period) Throughout the world, we need every energy source we can get - including nuclear. Nuclear has a number of advantages that warrant its use as one of the many methods of supplying an energy-demanding world. Even with conservation efforts, energy demand has been and will continue to increase. Other factors can accelerate that increase, for example the proposed shift to electric cars to meet environmental air quality goals. In using each and every one of these forms of energy production, we need to make sure we conserve as much as we can so we leave sources for future generations. Energy suppliers need to ensure that they do not contribute to short and long-term environmental problems. Governments need to ensure energy is generated safely to that neither people nor the environment are harmed.

socialism

(Post Voting Period) The United States Federal Government should transition to a socialist government. 1st of all according to John Locke if a government doesn't do its dutties for the people it shall be over thrown. 2nd look at the perks: free social services, equal pay, and no classes (upper and lower). 3rd its going to happen anyway with the Occupy Wall St. movement.

Resolved: Same-Sex Marriage ought be legalized in the United States

(Post Voting Period)
Based on my analysis with the topic at hand as well as my own personal proclivity with this subject, I am obliged to affirm the resolution and state that same-sex marriage ought be legalized in the United States. Before, continuing, I must make observations on the topic at hand, and the main definition for this debate is the following:

Ought: [a term] used to indicate duty or correctness; used to give or ask advice

With this clear distinction on the resolution's text, it is obvious the arbiter toward the analysis of the debate at hand: the correctness or duty of the United States whether it be moral or practical. With considerations that the United States is a parameter in this resolution, we must also make judgement based on the Constitution and the governmental style described and established therein and upheld by the government.

Now, to my contentions:

<span style="text-decoration:

Is Christianity Poison to Society?

(Post Voting Period) Contrary to popular mainstream Atheistic rants that religion or specifically Christianity is poisonous to society, I want to argue that Christianity has done and will continue to provide society with many great social positives.

My three main positive reformations of society are as follows:

1. Christianity produced the foundation for the equality of women.
2. The right to justice for all.
3. Abolition of Slavery in the British Empire.
