Professional Athletes Are Overpaid

(Post Voting Period) Ask the average person or politician for that matter, and the consensus seems to be the professional athletes are overpaid. It is my contention that athletes are not overpaid and are more than deserving to earn the living that they do. My opponent will take the position that professional athletes are indeed overpaid. Professional players will be those players in the NHL, NBA and MLB.

When conquered by a competing tribe, African tribesmen were sold by their own countrymen to Captains of White American agriculture and industry, and ever since the white American worker has been paying the price. Whether it was dealing with a slave revolt at Harpers Fairy led by abolitionist John Brown or having to avoid certain neighborhoods due to rampant crime, bringing slaves to America is the ultimate source of our problem. Had we not brought slaves to America, completely ridiculous programs such as Affirmative Action would not be in place. My son who has achieved high scores all throughout school and was a stellar young citizen should not be denied acceptance to a University just because some poor dumb black kid can be accepted so the University may be seen as "more diverse." My argument is that women should not teach men in church. eg. Pastor, according to the Bible. My opponent may start with whatever verses he/she chooses.

(Voting Period) Alot of my friends at school were talking about how it isnt fair that in jail some people get the death penalty and are mad at me because im for it. And i am for this type of action. Some of my friends think that it is cruel and mean but truely i think that it is a great idea. Say you are in jail for killing twelve people, do you really expect to just get a life sentecne? I mean it is one thing to steal something or not paying taxes but taking somebodys life and expect to get away with it is just nuts! So they asked me to put this subject on here and see what people say about it.
