Resolved: While debating, my opponent cannot lose The Game.

(Post Voting Period) We will be debating this topic free style which means any system of debate from conventional to unconventional are welcome so long as each case is refuted in the manner suiting the style they have chosen. Semantics arguments are not allowed and are subject to dismissal by the judging populous. Semantics arguments include any attacks or kritiks on the resolution or any of the rules to follow.
Here is my framework, which is not subject to interpretation, should be taken literally, and are not up for negotiation:
1)My opponent must know what the Internet meme "The Game" is. If my opponent is arguing on any other game (ie Clue, Monopoly, strip poker) my opponent forfeits the debate and you must vote CON.
2) If my opponent wishes to win any votes on this debate, my opponent must not mention The Game in any manner or power of suggestion (ie "I don't know what we're playing here and I have never known" is not acceptable. It is a reference to The Game.)
3) My opp

Resolved: The US should implement a military draft

(Voting Period) I would like to thank whoever accepts this debate. For the record, this is my first debate in quite a while and I would officially like to say... I'm back! I would like to elaborate on a few things and then extend the first argument to my opponent.
1) Should entails things beneficial to the agent of cause.
and 2) a military draft includes both willing and unwilling candidates.

Thank you again.

10% (Kemonomimi/Nekomimi) is not furry.

(Voting Period) I will first define some keywords.

Kemonomimi - an anime and manga terminology describing humanoid characters that possess animal-like features. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kemonomimi)

Nekomimi - a female with cat ears, a cat tail, or other feline accoutrements on an otherwise human-shaped body. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nekomimi)

Examples of the above two can be found at http://img.7chan.org/n/ NSFW

Furry - the term used to define pornographic content (generally drawings, more rarely depicting images of anthropomorphic animals), that range in appearance from human genitalia and physical frame, animal features (muzzle, paws) human genitalia, animal physical frame and features animal genitalia and physical frame, yet with human features. (http://wikichan.org/index.php/Furry)

--------------

Kemonomimi and Nekomimi images are not animal like enough and should not be considered "furry".

As I am not good with opening statements I will wait

Artificial Intelligence is impossible

(Voting Period) Out of pure respect for my opponent, I will give him to post his argument first and last.
Having said this, I think I should put down some rules for this debate:
1. We are arguing true AI, which is AI that can think fully and (at the very least) almost exactly like a human being.

Definitions from Dictionary.com
We will be using the listed definitions for this debate.
.Artificial - "Made by human skill; produced by humans (opposed to natural)"
.Intelligence - "Capacity for learning, reasoning, understanding, and similar forms of mental activity; aptitude in grasping truths, relationships, facts, meanings, etc."
.Impossible - "Not possible; unable to be, exist, happen, etc."

Good luck, and may the best debater win.

You, "Draxxt", are not an anarchist

(Voting Period) I intend no malice in this, I'll have you know, but, with a quick glance at your profile, I have determined that you are not truly an anarchist (as your profile claims). Truthfully, I am only trying to help you...to realize that you are not an anarchist.

I will make this brief.

Here are 3 definitions of anarchism:

"1. The theory or doctrine that all forms of government are oppressive and undesirable and should be abolished.
2. Active resistance and terrorism against the state, as used by some anarchists.
3. Rejection of all forms of coercive control and authority: "He was inclined to anarchism; he hated system and organization and uniformity" Bertrand Russell."

Any of these, or a combination of them, will work in my favor.

I will now make a list of why you are not an anarchist:

-The most obvious piece of evidence is that it says on your belief chart that you support the United States of America. This is pretty self explanatory, but here is s

Should laws outlawing blasphemy be introduced across the United States?

(Voting Period) There are a large number of debates on this site that devout Christians may find insulting, and some of the arguments posted by atheists may even shake their faith in the very existence of God Himself.

Is the increasing lack of respect for God and the Church damaging American society and, if so, does Christianity need protection under the law?

Should individuals that use words which are scurrilous, abusive or offensive, or which vilify Christianity, God, Christ, the Christian religion or the Bible be liable to prosecution?

Since it is not clear that such laws would be contrary to the First Amendment - for example, Massachusetts has a blasphemy law which clearly inhibits free speech - perhaps we could leave the Constitutional arguments to one side and discuss the principles of the matter instead?

My view is that there is nothing sacred about any religion and, therefore, Christianity should not enjoy an elevated status under the law and that those bl

Resolved: It is impossible for Pro to fully win this debate (a revision of two flawed resolutions.)

(Voting Period) Good day to my opponent and to the judges. I would like you to vote on what you see before you and not what your own personal biases might be. Now that that's done, let's proceed with the debate, shall we?

There is no possible way I can fully win this debate for the following reasons:

1) To win I must get the most votes.
A) If that were to occur, I would not be proving the resolution.
B) Therefore, though I have won in score, I haven't won the initial goal: prove the resolution.

2) If my opponent gets more votes, I will not have won. Therefore, Pro loses but upholds his purpose in this debate, winning in the proven category.

For the reasons you see above, you must vote Pro. Or Con, either way I sort of win.

(Voting Period) Since I highly respect this particular opponent and would enjoy hearing his argument in the first, I move to allow Korezaan the first debate.

Also, I'd like to define a few things, as to clear anything up.

(As always, I'll be using Merriam-Webster)
relieve as: " to free from a burden : give aid or help to"

argumentative as: "given to argument : disputatious "

and nature as: "the inherent character or basic constitution of a person or thing : essence b: disposition, temperament"

To my opponent, I hope you accept this debate and good luck!

(Voting Period) Social Security too me is something that need to be changed since United States seams to be going into some kind "Change" blah blah blah whatever. My opinion about Social Security is just stupid because of the fact that people are wanting the rich to pay more money just because of there wealth. How I see it, is that they really don't even need Social Security because there already set for life. Just because some of these people can't get off there butts and get a job we have to give them money OK! NO! I understand about some people that got hurt or are just to old to work but really there are some people that advantage of our hard earned money.
Should everyone in America support our troops, even though they may not support the War in Iraq?

(Voting Period) I would like to open by saying I STRONGLY believe in supporting our troops who are risking our lives to attempt restoring peace in the Middle Eastern countries, who are plagued by suicide bombers and insurgency attacks. Today, at my school, we were all asked by our principal to go into the field to watch the troops fly over in their Black Hawks because they are being deployed to Iraq today. While I was out there, I witnessed SEVERAL students laughing and cracking jokes about the soldiers. I really feel for these soldiers because some of them don't know whether they will make it home alive or in a body bag.

I think if you are in America, whether you're a kid/teenager or not, you should respect your American troops and your military. They are fighting for peace in the world to hopefully prevent another attack on our freedom. It just disgusts me to see people laughing about it and moaning and groaning because they don't wanna be outside watching a simple fly ov

Education is stealing constitutional rights

(Voting Period) I propose to you, ladies and gentlemen, that no matter how hard you fight it, high schools and below are trying to allieviate from us the basic human rights in which our founding fathers worked so hard to uphold. Now I, as a freshman in my class, have already come to realise that my freedom of speech, press, and religion. I am not granted the right to worship freely in school but, by God himself, I will. I am not allowed to write a scandal of a teacher and yet I shall if one might occur. And by all that is just, If an INjustice occurs, you can bet whatever dignity the school system hasn't sucked out of you I shall try and fight it.

(Voting Period) I would first like to thank my opponent for accepting this debate. I must also say that when I refer to "Animals" it is a reference to non-human animals.
First I must define a few terms:
Merriam-Webster defines:
Immoral as "not moral; broadly : conflicting with generally or traditionally held moral principles"
Moral as "of or relating to principles of right and wrong in behavior : ethical"
right as "righteous, upright"
behaviour as " the manner of conducting oneself "
I will attempt to argue the immorality of this resolution in the following contentions:

1) An animal is no less justified as a living creature as a human is.

Due to the Pavlov's dog test, Animals are proven conscious and able to deduce/induce situations.
"Pavlov became interested in studying reflexes when he saw that the dogs drooled without the proper stimulus. Although no food was in sight, their saliva still dribbled. It turned out that the dogs were reacting to lab coats. Every t
