LSD should be legalized for recreational use.

(Voting Period) LSD refers to Lysergic acid diethylamide, a psychedelic drug illegal in the United States of America. If you challenge me, you are in support of keeping LSD illegal, and/or increasing penalties for possessing or selling it.

LSD should be legalized for the reasons listed below.

A) LSD use is a victimless crime. If someone ingests LSD, no one is being victimized in any way, shape, or form.

B) LSD is less addictive than many legal drugs in America. (1) (2)

C) Only one person has ever died of LSD overdose. However, this man died of because of his own ignorance. He was under the impression that the LSD was speed, ergo, he ingested 320 G of LSD, which is much higher than the recommended dosage. However, more than one person has died of alcohol poisoning. (3)

D) LSD has medical uses, where as alcohol and tobacco, do not. If nothing else, this should make LSD a class B drug instead of a class A one. (4)

Gay Marriage should be legalized.

(Post Voting Period) Hunton711 asked me to challenge him to this debate, so I am. I look forward to debating Hunton and welcome him to this site. I would ask my opponent to use this round to clarify definitions and Burden of Proof arguments if they arise - as a result I ask him not to post an argument for the second half of this round and allow actual debating to commence in round two.

I, in this debate must prove that gay marriage should always be legalized whereas my opponent must prove that it must never be legalized.

Resolved: Gay Marriage should be legalized.

Definitions :

Gay - of, relating to, or used by homosexuals [1]
Married** - A) The act of uniting in wedlock [2]
B) To join as man and wife [3]
Should - used in auxiliary function to express obligation, propriety, or expediency [4]
Legalized - to give legal validity or sanction to [5]

**There are two provided definitions of marriage. The first one, A is taken from the American Heritage dictionary pub

Your practice was sylux, but here's the real thing,

Your last rhyme was good, I have to admit,
But none if its real. And all mines authentic.
Get ready to lose, because I aint playing around
Right now I'm getting ready to bury you in the ground.

you, know, what your last rap needed was a killa beat.
I hope you got one this time, cuz i'm packin' the heat!

Definitions:

noob- newbie.

Chrysippus is a noob. He has joined this site several hours ago, and has created this debate: http://www.debate.org/debates/I-will-probably-lose-my-first-debate-on-DDO/1/

A noob would start out his DDO career by instigating a debate about probably losing his first debate on DDO.

Conclusion: Chrysippus is a noob. He has joined only several hours ago, has created a debate regarding the possibility of losing his first debate on DDO, and even stated that he is new to this sort of thing. Resolution negated.

Democratic Party-The party of president Barack Obama (2009-?)

Basically, the Republicans are right on the issues and the Democrats are wrong.

For the sake of this debate we will avoid foreign issues, stick to economics and domestic issues.

Basically, the Republican Party is the party of Freedom and the Democratic Party is the Party of Equality of Results. Unfortunately, the Democrat would sacrifice Freedom for Equality of Results.

(Post Voting Period) I would like this debate to be a fast one. By this, I mean I'd prefer it if my opponent stayed online to complete the debate.

Gallaudet University - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallaudet_University
Beneficial - 1 : conferring benefits : conducive to personal or social well-being [1]
Deaf - lacking or deficient in the sense of hearing

I believe that Gallaudet University for the deaf is not beneficial to the deaf.

Due to the fact Gallaudet specifically accommodates the deaf to the fullest extent, many hearing impaired students are isolated into this deaf - only community. Unfortunately, this world is not completely deaf. Over 28 million people in America have some sort of hearing loss [3]. Though this is a large number, most of America is not hearing impaired. As a result, it is unreasonable to believe that the "real world" would accommodate these students the way they have been accommodated at Gallaudet. So in reality, Gallaudet does a disservice t
