Obama is either not a Muslim, or a very bad Muslim.

(Post Voting Period)
The debate will precede as follows, the first round will be acceptation and brief statement of views on topic. (1-3 sentences) The second round is where both sides will put up their main argument (at least 2 paragraphs) You may not rebut what your opponent said in rounds 1 and 2 during the second round. Round 3 will be the rebuttals and closing arguments. Swearing is not allowed. Sources must be cited. Best of luck to my opponent.

*********
I believe that Obama is not a Muslim. The very idea is silly, and I don't think there is a shred of proof to support these theories.

Lincoln is better than Obama

(Post Voting Period) President Abraham Lincoln did many wonderful things. He freed the slaves, which was something that no other president had come close to completing. I'm sure some people would say that President Obama is the best president in history. Well, I'm here to argue. Let's Compare:

Lincoln:
- For Constitution
- Protecting Rights

Obama:
- Against what our country was set up on, the Constitution.
- Wanting to ban Gun Rights

(Post Voting Period) Although Barack Obama has not been president while a majority of the debt was compiled, he has had four years to lower it, and he has not. He also added about seven trillion to the debt. Whether you think that we should raise taxes, cut spending, or a combination of the two, you should realize that the president had a super majority for his first two years in office. He could have done anything his heart desired, and he refused to lower the debt. He is not totally at fault, but he is mostly to blame.

Obama Began His Presidency With an Apology Tour

(Post Voting Period)
I am offering this debate proposal to Roy Latham, a debater whose skills I frequently admire, before making it available to anyone else. In a recent debate, I offered a criticism of an argument that he repeated several times in the course of that contest. This argument relied on the following statement being true: “President Obama began his presidency with an apology tour.”

Obviously, I disagree, and would like to continue this discussion with Roy Latham, or perhaps RyuuKyuzo.

I will adopt the position of "Con," since I want to challenge the premise that “President Obama began his term with an apology tour.” I ask that Pro defend the premise, by demonstrating how Obama actually did embark on an "apology tour" over this timeframe.

I am willing to be fairly relaxed concerning any rules for this debate, and am willing to honor any agreements made in the comments section. My only real requests of my par

The GOP are ignorant hypocrites for blaming gas prices on Obama

(Post Voting Period) The resolution refers to a thread made by Contra in the politics forum about how hypocritical it is for Republicans to blame gas prices in Obama, shown in this thread below,

http://www.debate.org/forums/politics/topic/20631/

I will argue that it is hypocritical for Republicans to blame rising gas prices on Obama and not give him some credit when they go down. Roy will argue that it is NOT hypocritical

4 rounds
1st round doesn't have to be acceptance only
I will not troll or use semantics
(If there's something I screwed up just comment on it and I'll fix it an resend the challenge)

The Obama Care bill should NOT have been passed

(Post Voting Period) I would like to say a few words here before starting my opening argument.
I respectfully request that only an American Citizen please join this debate on the 'con' side. I have nothing against view points from other countries on health care, but with a bill where American tax dollars are being used, I find it to be a more honest debate between two citizens directly effected. If I could have, I would have voted No to this bill and look forward to debating with someone who would have voted yes. (http://www.examiner.com/x-12837-US-Headlines-Examiner~y2009m8d10-Health-care-bill-HR-3200-read-it-online-now) Thank you.

On to the topic:

My contention is that the health care system in America is and has been broken for quite some time now. It is an important topic but not more important than our economy, jobs, etc. This bill was very politically motivated and rushed though without getting all the facts ahead of time. It is a simple case of throwing money after

Romney should be elected over Obama

(Post Voting Period)
This debate concerns whether Mitt Romney should be elected President of the United States over President Barack Obama in the upcoming election. Only these two candidates are to be considered in the debate, and the outcome is to be determined by the preponderance of evidence. The burden of proof is shared and the debater who makes a better case for his candidate is to be judged the winner. As Pro, I will advocate for Mitt Romney.

The first round is for acceptance and clarification only. I will present the Romney case at the start of the second round. Con may rebut in R2, but must present the pro-Obama case.

Thanks to my opponent for taking up this topic.

<span id="hotword" style="font-fam

The USA should repeal the rules of engagement about Afghanistan in the Obama doctrine

(Post Voting Period) The Obama doctrine says that US soldiers in Afghanistan are not allowed to call in air-support or reinforcements. Also they cannot shoot unless shot at and if civilians are by then they may not engage. We need to repeal this because our troops are dying because of this. 22 members of seal team 6 died because of this. Innocents are going to die anyways unfortunately, but that is not going to save lives but waste them. Now we are just sending our men and women to be butchered by terrorists who know we are weak. Therefore we should repeal this and save American and in the long-run Afghan lives.

Obama has botched the recovery

(Post Voting Period) The full resolution is, "President Obama and the Democrats in Congress could have adopted different laws and policies to lead the United States into a more effective economic recovery."

This challenge is intended for an experienced debater; please do not accept the challenge if you are new to debating. This is a difficult resolution because it covers so much ground.

I contend:

1. The economic stimulus package was a failure. According to Obama Adviser Christina Romer, if it were passed unemployment would not exceed 8%, and by now it would be reduced to 7%. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/114753-frank-obama-admin-dumb-to-predict-no-higher-than-8-unemployment Unemployment went over 10% and is now around 9.5%. It was supposed to build transportation infrastructure, but only 3.3% of it was spent on that. Most of the money went to bailing out states whose rampant spending, much of it going to employing overpaid government workers whose unio

The hypocrisy of Barack Obama and his administration.

(Post Voting Period) Barack Obama and his administration are one of the high points of hypocrisy in modern society. Instigating a gun control debate and a call to action against firearms, when he himself and his family are guarded 24/7 by agents with high-caliber firearms. Claiming to care for the welfare of children when the administration itself orders numerous drone strikes in other countries, killing dozens of children. So, give me your best liberal point of view on these points because I would like to tell you why you're wrong.

President Obama is bad 4 the US

(Voting Period) I am in strong affirmation that, President Obama is bad 4 the United States of America. President obama is a hypocrite he cast blame on big spenders saying there to blame 4 the economic situation. Then he has a 6 million dollar party when he takes office. He will not salute the flag of the united states cause he says there is no opportunity in America but after 2 generations the obamas have come from nothing to the most influential black family in the world. Obama has little experience and his stimulus package is garbage and will hurt our already crippled economy.
