(Debating Period) Rape is a crime only because we think of it as a crime. We need to critically examine to evaluate the current illegal status of rape. The current majority view that rape is bad or immoral has no basis except that it is an empty mindlessness forced on the people. The gratuitous notion is so negative in that it oppresses people's human sexual passion, sexual freedom and diversity in sexual conducts in human society. (Debating Period) Welcome; Today I would like to debate a subject that has become very controversial in today's modern society: Violent Video Games. With all the violence and tragedies in today's society, many look for answers and solutions, such as what to blame for all of this violence, and many turn to violent video games. Now, I am no extreme "gamer" but I do own an Xbox 360 gaming console and do enjoy playing video games that are what most would say to be violent, such as the first person shooter series "Call Of Duty" and "Halo" I am not here to argue the outlaw of these games, or increase restrictions, I'm only here to debate about if they do in fact cause an increase in violence in today's youth. Reason #1: They do not make people violent. After a shooting (like the one in Newtown) many people like to blame video games for the shooting. Many people think that video games cause violence. But here I am going to use logic. The USA is not the only country that has video games. Many other countries such as The UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, etc, spend just as much or more on video games (per capita) than the USA. Hey there, i was just having a conversation with my friend and starting wondering, how do you know there is such thing as a man called "God" who walked on this earth? excuse me an entity? i mean there is no proven fact there is such thing, people beleive in the Book, people beleive in what other people are saying. its like saying, "hey look, that guy just died. you cant see him but he did" and your all like yeah i beleive that. if god exsisted then why would he put us through this, why would he give us different choices into what to beleive? if he was real why wouldn't he revel himself? why wouldnt he let his creations know he was alive? its just confusing, why would he give people this impretion of himself. this just shows to me and no offence intended people, but why is he hiding like a coward?. any answer?
