Although it may be the responsibility for parents to educate and provide information about birth control to their children, there are a lot of parents that are failing to do so or failing to do this at an early enough age. Because of this phenomenon there is an increasing amount of pregnancies, abortions and STDs because of lack of information. Even though it is sometimes believed that introducing this information may actually entice youngsters to experiment earlier than they may on their own, I believe that pressure from their peers, television and music are much bigger influences that will provoke this behavior more than clear, concise information.
