Sukarno of Indonesia deserve the Nobel Peace Prize

(Challenge Period) President Sukarno of Indonesia that in charge from August, 18, 1945 to March, 12, 1967 was really deserve the Nobel Peace Prize. Why?

1. His contribution toward peace on the world
Sukarno, together with another co-founder of the Non-Aligned Movement, held the Bandung Conference in 1955 that the main goal of that conference is to make peace between US and USSR because the primary reason of why the peace was endangered in that era was a Cold War between them. And, after that, Sukarno together with Nehru, Nkrumah, Nasser, and Tito, founded the Non-Aligned Movement that the main goal of that movement is to stop the Cold War as the neutralist bloc. And, Sukarno had also popular among historians and analysts as "the most outspoken proponent of Third World neutralism in the Cold War." So, he deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, actually

2. He didn't fought his opponent, Suharto, because he want to make peace on his own country.
In 1965, Sukarno's position on the Ind

People can never be regarded as equals

(Challenge Period) People cannot under the law be regarded as equals, or treated as equals, in the sense that every single law and policy must apply to everyone in the same manner.
You must prove that people should be treated as equals in a legal sense, in a political sense and in a social sense and should.

No emotional pandering, this is an argument of pure reason, and wit

I have tried to make the topic as broad as possible to give you(the competitor) as much creative leeway as possible, as such i expect that you use MOSTLY YOUR OWN WORDS AND ARGUMENTS,

You are allowed to use external sources, but the bulk of the work must be your own.

Round 1 is acceptance only, no argument shall be submitted in round 1

For the purposes of this argument i assume that the competitor is aware of the definition of the term equality in the context it has been presented, if not please indicate in the comment section and further details will be provided

I eagerly await an oppon

Should abortion be legal?

(Debating Period)
I believe that abortion should be legal. By legal, I mean with restrictions, but is still legal in certain circumstances. The opposer will be fighting for the complete abolishment of abortion. As always, please do not make irrelevant arguments and logical fallacies.

The first round will be for stating your positions and any starting comments.

Gay Boy scout leaders.

(Debating Period)
The boy scouts made a big mistake when they maintained their position on not allowing any gay leaders [1]. This is because little boys need a diversity in activities, life isn't just putting up tents and tieing knots.

What the boy scouts are missing out on are the cool, hip and fun activities that gay leaders would introduce, such as Extreme Sewing Adventures and Radical Rainbow-drawing, with merit badges complete with pink glitter on them.

With Gay boy scout leaders, the boy scouts will feel fabulous.

Also, Gay boy scout leaders would be a help to people like me, who can't tie knots.

Me: waa!
Gay leader: What's the matter, scout?
Me: I can't tie knots, and big Jim can!
Gay leader: Don't feel sad, have this merit badge!
<img src="../../../photos/albums/1/3/2344/6328

Should the development of new technology be stopped?

(Debating Period)
How often do we see people that have a walk with no obvious direction, staring into a phone screen, always typing something? How often do we feel ourselves lost and immobilized when an electricity or a battery charge of our gadgets go down? We all know that technology is making our life easier and helps us manage so many tasks, but look around, and you will see that our lives become dependent on it. Computers and cell phones are the main reasons why people become detached from reality.

Parental license should take effect

(Debating Period) Children by most societies. are being prioritized when it comes to protection. when children are being brought to day cares parents want to know the reputation of the place.
when you adopt a child you are being checked if you are qualified in having the child.
And when a child is being abused most people in the right mind will have the great urge to help the child.

Biological parents when bringing offspring affect the child during the pregnancy phase, thus can be abused and be disordered in one away or another.
either by taking drugs or smoking or drinking... etc'.

Usually when trying to find suitable people for certain activities or jobs like: driving, gun and business ownership... etc' you need to have a license for that.

If we were to make a parental license how many children could grow up to become productive adults?

Abortion

(Debating Period) Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus, and that is to prevent the birth of a child with birth defects or severe medical problems, to protect the woman"s health if threatening physical or mental conditions are present, to end an unwanted birth resulting from rape or birth control failure.
Abortion has been a controversial subject in many societies through history because of the moral, ethical, practical, and political power issues that surround it. It has been banned frequently and otherwise limited by law while it has been legalized in most parts of the world.
Abortion should be legalized if the subject in hand has an honest and logical reason, which means that the woman should not take advantage of this procedure to frequently kill the embryo resulting from planned sexual intercourse. If the fetus is found to have the Down syndrome for example, the baby is a

We should treat the obese like animals.

(Debating Period)
There I was, on the plane, when suddenly, a pizza-polishing fat bum moves his grossly overweight gluteus maximus over to the five seats next to me. He then lowers said body part down to all five of the empty seats next to me. He is still crunching on some fatty food and then says to me in a rather polite tone: "Wanacrisp?" (It's hard to decode Fatzonese) I stare at him as if he had just killed someone (he had, the flight attendant who was sitting next to me). I see this crisp-crunching pile o' fat and begin to deny the notion that it's human. This must mean that these people are animals.

Then an idea came to mind: We should treat the obese like animals! Documenting their entire life, throwing their food to them through buckets and taking them for a walk! Imagine a file on your average slob, giving the information that everyone wants to know.

Name: Rob the slob
Species: Burger-bellied waddler
Occupa

Humans Can Have A Soul

(Debating Period)
Humans Can Have A Soul

For this to be true I must show that humans can have a soul, but that it is reasonable.

A Souls is that which gives someone free will.
Free will is the ability for someone to make a choice that is not predetermined. [1]
If absolute determinism is true then there can be no free will.
If there is no free will then there can be no soul.

However, the uncertainty principle shows absolute “newtonian” determinism is false.[2] The world exists as a form of pseudo-determinism where we can predict short term outcomes with a fair degree of certainty, but not long term, and not with absolute certainty. This is caused by a universal mechanism for choosing values for things that are undetermined.

For example, the spin of an electron is only known from the angle that it was last measured. If an electron is measured at an angle that it was not measured by last the

Teaching Creationism (Theory of a Young Earth) Should Be Prohibited in Public & Private Schools

(Challenge Period) This is a two faceted debate in which I will defend the ideology, not the implementation (so as to avoid empirical debate), of a ban on teaching the theory of creationism in both the public school systems and private school systems when it is the primary education source. I.E. A private school which fulfills the state-imposed obligation of attending school, cannot teach creationism. However, one that does not or is not intended to fulfill the obligation (Sunday school or after-school tutoring) can teach whatever they want. I will use the following main arguments.

I. Creationism is empirically false
II. Children have the right to true information
III. Children have the right to be free from indoctrination

(Voting Period)
This debate will be arguing about whether or not it should be widely socially acceptable to return materials gifted to someone through a present back to where the materials were bought from.

I, as Pro, will be arguing that we SHOULD be able to, whether with or without external consent, be able to return a gift without resulting negative sanctions being generally appropriate.

My opponent, as Con, will be arguing that we should NOT be able to, whether with or without external consent, be able to return a gift while expecting to be free of negative consequences that SHOULD be viewed as appropriate.

Very standard format:
