Yogi Berra is better than Johnny Bench

(Debating Period) Yogi Berra is the best catcher of all time. The main competitor for this honor is Johnny Bench. I feel that Berra is a better player than Bench. But many people and experts say that Bench is better than Berra and I do not like that. For example, the Sporting News places Bench as 16th on the all time 100 list, while putting Berra at 40th. The Sporting New quotes that "It might not seem fair, but Johnny Bench is the standard by which catchers will be judged forever." This debate was created by me to attempt to prove that Berra is better. Remember, I am not trying to prove that Berra is the best catcher or whatever else. Don't bring other catchers into this debate. It is simply Johnny Bench vs. Yogi Berra. Clearing other issues. More Valuable or Better?: When I mean that Berra is "better" than Bench, I mean both more vital and more skilled. I want this debate to include both skill and importance. Wrestling being eliminated from the 2020 Olympic Games

(Post Voting Period) First of all wrestling is one of the oldest Olympic sports and that alone should be a good enough reason to keep it. When wrestling was chosen to be one of the sports that may not be on the 2020 Olympic program the wrestling community came together to make sure our dreams stayed alive. Just recently we had the Rumble on the Rails which is a tri-meet between the United State, Iran, and Russia. It took place in Grand Central Station and had very many spectators. It was also broadcasted on television. We brought three countries together in hopes of keeping something we love dearly in the Olympics.

(Post Voting Period) Well, many believe that the Native American mascots are racist &/or offending. I, for one, am not native american but I duly believe it would be an honor to have a professional sports team representing your race/nationality. I understand the other side's opinion when many say that some logos or mascot names such as the logo for the Cleveland Indians logo or the term "redskin". However, just these small adjustments can be made without having to revoke the whole idea of having a Native American culture mascot.

(Post Voting Period) Good Morning the debate.org world/viewers, before I start I would like to give my opponent good luck in this debate. I would like to make a huge point that Chelsea Football Club were much better than Barcelona in the 2011/2012 season as they were Champions League Winners, FA Cup winners and came 4th overall on the Barclay's Premier League table in that season. Therefore they won 2 of the 3 main tournaments in that year. Firstly, Chelsea won the Champions league which is thought to be the "one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world and the most prestigious club competition in European football." The final was Chelsea vs Bayern Munich as Chelsea took out Barcelona 3-2 on Aggregate the round before, making them better than Barcelona once again.The final of the 2011 tournament was also "the most-watched UEFA Champions League final to date, as well as the most watched annual sporting event worldwide that year, drawing 178.7 million television viewers."

(Post Voting Period) In this debate I will be arguing that dance is a sport. The dictionary definition of a sport (according to dictionary.com) is an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess, often of a competitive nature. Dance contains all of these elements. The fact that dance is an art does not mean that it cannot be a sport as well. Dancers train and compete just like other athletes. Let me clarify that I am talking about competitive dancing, whether it is individual or with a team, not simply dancers that perform in recitals. I am also not arguing that dance is a contact sport. Dance does not require on-the-go thinking, but this is an element that many sports do not contain (golf, swimming, diving, bowling, gymnastics, etc) and this element is not requisite to be considered a sport. Dance competitions do have rules and regulations just like other sports. Dancers work very hard and deserve to be treated like the athletes that we are.

(Post Voting Period) hockey is better! 1. we are non stop. rarely in a game of hockey do we even stop for "out of bounds". we do not have the option of running out to get a breather. 2. we skate at about 35 mph. go at that speed makes hockey the fastest sport on earth without a car. this is also for about a 2 min. shift. at that speed makes it very hard. also with the possiblilty to get hit makes it even more fun. getting to lay people out with all force and making the crowd scream! 3. scoreing. we shoot a little puck at a little net with a big goalie in the way! for us to score is way more amazing then shotting a big ball in a big net with a little goalie. There for it makes hockey a harder sport and pushs players even more to shoot the puck. heres just 3 main points

I haven't been watching WWE for very long, but when I first watched it I knew that CM Punk was very macho. "He must be the most macho thing ever!" I thought to myself. That would mean that he'd be more powerful than God.
