Intellectual Property should not be monopolized
Intellectual Property such as patents and copyrights should not have a monopoly over their potential competitors. Just because someone made the discovery first, or has the money to buy the rights of the technology, they should not be given an unfair advantage of the market. September 2009 Public Forum Topic
In case you don't know, the September 2009 Public Forum topic is "Resolved: The United States policy on illegal immigration should focus on attrition through enforcement rather than amnesty. I'm done debating this topic, so I don't really care if you take my case. I do care, however, if you join this debate just to get arguments. As the CON, I am for amnesty. The PRO would have to argue attrition. Please refrain from posting any arguments until Round 2....

I would like to thank whomever accepts this debate. I will simply set up parameters and define key terms within the resolution and then let my opponent (pro) make opening arguments. Parameters: by benefits I mean "special consideration" in regards to education, disability checks, disabled housing, live-in nurses, or anything that is given to a disabled person. Now I must present my bias. I am physically disabled. I suffer from moderate/severe Cerebral Palsy that solely affects me physically....

I thought that this would be an interesting topic, after discussing it with a close friend friend who wholeheartedly defended the conspiracy theory. I will define some key terms and set some parameters and then pass it off to pro who will present their opening argument. Parameters: I would appreciate it if my opponent actually BELIEVED in the Illuminati and aren't arguing just for argumentation's sake. Admittedly though, I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference if you were any good....
