Drug Legalization

Deathbeforedishonour
thett3

Resolved: The United States should legalize all drugs.

I propose that we debate drug legalization. The first round is just for acceptance of the challange, and its definintions.

Drugs: A chemical substance, such as a narcotic or hallucinogen, that affects the central nervous system, causing changes in behavior and often addiction [1].

The Death Penalty should remain legal in the United States

thett3
lotus_flower

I'm pleased to be debating lotus_flower on this issue.

Round one is for acceptance or clarification. Round two will be for constructives, but if my Opponent wishes to refute my case in his second round, that's fine too. However he must post arguments of his own. New arguments cannot be brought up in round 4.

We can both ask our opponents questions during the debate.

The death penalty should remain legal

Iam4real
thett3

I am new to this site and hope I am doing this right. I believe in the ten commandments and in Thou shall not kill. No one should have the right to take a life except who it was created by. Capital Punishment is revenge not justice. I personally would prefer a person who violated the law in victimizing someone I care about, would be sentenced to suffering for the rest of their existence and not have the thoughts and feelings terminated. Yes I believe there are instances where I would understa...

Mexico's Problem With Drug Cartel Warrants United States Military Intervention

canhandley0u
thett3

The problems that the drug cartel are causing in Mexico have got out of hand and it appears the presence of the United States military may be the only answer at this point. The violence that the drug cartel are causing in Mexico is beginning to effect the United States and will only get worse should we not intervene. We are already on the defense with Mexico regarding the cartel and immigration so why shouldn't we become more proactive if they continue?...

America bombing Japan is comparable to Nazi death camps

chit0wn

I will be arguing for the idea that the motives behind bombing Japan at the end of WWII are identical to the motives of Hitler exterminating Jews in the death camps. Round 1 is acceptance. No rules for what is posted in Rounds 2-4....

The U.S. should legalize all drugs

Blast
thett3

This is my first debate on the site, so sorry if I have any format problems.

I argue that we should legalize all currently illegal drugs. These include marijuana, crack, cocaine, meth, you get the idea.

Hopefully this will be a challenging debate :)

Blacks" have not contributed to the world or society.

MassDebator255
thett3

First I would just like to state for the record that I am not a racist. I am a realist. I do not think that "black" people have made any significant contributions to the world or society. I have no problem with the color of peoples skin, therefore am not racist. I do however, have problems with the way certain people act in society, and it got me to wondering whether black people have made any real significant contributions to society and the world. I can find almost nothing significant that the...
