Scotland should be an independent country

First round - Acceptance Due to the complexity of the issue I have allowed for maximum rounds, although if both parties feel comfortable with their arguments and rebuttal we can move to voting stage....

Any gun other than pistols should not be sold to citizens.

First off, I must say that I am not American so I am not familiar with any statistics or laws you may have. I will be defending a point based on logic, rather than sources. It would probably be hard to source in such debate anyways. I have seen quite a lot of people defend the availability of larger weapons - I will argue that they serve no use if you are but a citizen. As for the second amendment in America particularly, I must say that it is ridiculous anyone would be willing to use that...

The new DDO Voting System is superior to the old

thett3
Zarroette

Resolved: The new DDO voting system is superior to the old one. I am affirming. The new DDO voting system is a system of up/down voting where the judge selects a single winner for the debate. The old system was a categorical system weighing Spelling and Grammar, Conduct, and Sources as well as arguments. As a courtesy to my opponent, we'll use that system for the round. Round 1 is for acceptance only. No new arguments in the last round. Good luck.

Mikal is the best debater ever OTHER than imabench

9spaceking
thett3

I argue http://www.debate.org/Mikal/ is the best debater ever because of his insanely low lose rate and the number of debates he has won. (0ver 160! Oh my god! And losing merely one debate, and even THAT debate has only 5 point difference...) I do not argue about imabench...the sheer number of debates he has is just...wow. So make your argument about some other debater other than imabench! (how is that guy a troll, anyways? He's just this insanely good deabter.)...

I made another debate by this title the other day, but it was hijacked by a troll. Therefore, I'm making it again, with the hope that an intelligent debater accepts. First round is for acceptance, burden of proof is shared....

The Pixar theory

thett3
digitalbeachbum

Resolved: The Pixar Theory is likely Correct. The Pixar theory is the argument that all of the Pixar movies actually take place in the same universe. It's argued for here: http://jonnegroni.com/2013/07/11/the-pixar-theory/ Pixar has basically disconfirmed that the theory is true, but for the fun of the debate I'm not going to make that argument. We're going to look at the Pixar theory without that knowledge. My opponent is to make his argument for why the Pixar theory is true in the first...

Gods plan does requires Sin to function

AtheismJD

I will be debating that Gods does plan requires Sin to function. Round 1 is accepting the debate. Round 2 - Opening arguments. Round 3 - Rebuttals. Round 4 - Closing arguments. Rules: The rounds must be followed as stated above. There is no need for vast spacing(hitting the enter key many times) between points. Example for proper spacing is the spacing used in this here. Failure to comply with the rules will result in the Pro winning the debate....
