About Me:Hey there, I'm a guy from Singapore who loves to discuss on the current affairs in the political world and I love to hear other peoples' opinions about some of the big issues in our society. I love Science and Mathematics, particularly Physics, and would also love to discuss about recent theories and/or experimental observations happening in any area of Physics. I would talk for hours and hours with anyone about Science and Mathematics and I wouldn't get tired of it. So, come on! Let's do some talking while we're at it. I also love lying down on the rooftop of my uncles' house and looking at the sky at night. i truly feel a sense of 'spiritual enlightenment' and I am usually filled with awe and wonder. I think that it gives me a, sort of, poetic feeling, which would explain why I also like Literature as well :) So come on! Let's be friends.
Activities:I love making observations of things around me and though I love practical work, my heart is into theoretical physics, not so much into experimental physics. Therefore, I love complicated theoretical problems and I, sometimes, just sit out in the open and try to solve these problems because I feel that I can solve nature by getting inspiration from nature itself. I also do love reading and I have quite a huge arsenal of books, not only in my room, but at my relatives houses as well. I love reading both non-fiction and fiction and I have a special attachment towards science fiction books, because that's what mainly piqued my curiosity and made me want to question the world around myself.
Beliefs:I'm an atheist and thus, I don't believe in any sort of supernatural deity or supernatural entity, such as ghosts and fairies etc. That's mainly because I haven't seen real, conclusive evidence which can prove that they exist. However, that's not to say that I'm not interested in seeing one. I would discuss on the possibilities of supernatural deities and their morality for days on end and would not get tired of it. However, since I'm a lover of Science, I like to use more scientific arguments, rather than just philosophical arguments, to prove my point. That's mainly because most scientific arguments have official evidence which backs them up, thus, resulting in the opposition not being able to properly refute my argument. But, of course, if you're open-minded enough, I'd love to debate with you :)
Books:I have quite a large number of books which are my favorites so I'll just categorize them into two different groups. Fiction: The Mortal Instruments, Harry Potter, Pendragon, Animal Farm, The Clockwork Orange, Fablehaven etc. Non-Fiction: The God Delusion, A Universe from Nothing, The Magic of Reality, Breaking the Spell, The Story of Science, A Letter to a Christian Nation, The Blind Watchmaker, The Ancestor's Tale, Physics of the Future & all sorts of Science/Science Fiction books which explore real physical laws, theories and possibilities through a well-planned out story.
Movies:I usually don't watch movies. I love watching documentaries, though and if you have any recommendations for me, please point them out, if you can, so that I can get onto them as soon as I can.
Music:I like soft, study music because it's what brings me clarity of mind and thought while studying or making observations.
Quotes:Anything that can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence- Christopher Hitchens
Sports Teams:I don't watch many sports and I don't really know enough in order to be selective and to be have a say on this. If I don't have enough knowledge of something, I try to not have an opinion on it before gathering all of the information.
TV Shows:The Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who etc. Any science or philosophy related shows or cartoons which help to prove a real-life point.
