About Me:I am an Atheist, I base this on that there is no evidence that a god has ever existed in the past, see no viable data to prove one exist today or will in the near or distant future. I am an informed intelligent free thinking person that needs no one to live my life for me. I do not need a bible, Religion or god in order for me to be a morally sound person or to treat the human race with humanity. I am an Atheist because I see no other reason not to be and I am proud of that fact. I choose to live, love and die free from the slavery of religion and to not bow down to worship an imaginary being that some call a "god". I firmly state that I see Atheism as the lack of religion... LACK OF ANY and ALL religion. Atheism is the anti-matter of the matter of religion. Religion requires a being, force or spiritual mindset of some sorts. Atheism is the freedom from religion's chains that hold you to a set of "godly" principles to control and manipulate ones thoughts, actions and ones very life.
Beliefs:Atheist reject the unsubstantiated imaginations of believers in their mythological musings and it is beyond their comprehension that we do not reject their "god" we reject the existence their "god". Then proceed to label us as and see us as worshipers of the enemy of their faith that we also see no evidence of as anything more than mythological nonsense. To which they immediately try to convert and save us by quoting scriptures from a book that they claim is the divine words given to them by their "almighty god". Which once again we see their "bible" is only a collection of mythologies written by mortal men not filled by any nonexistent "holy spirit" but maybe filled with and drunken from the spirits of alcohol. I do not find the "bible" to be love letters from "god" but more like spam from the religulous.. Religion is SLAVERY to a god, that to this very moment in time has NOT been proven to exist.
Books:I gave faith in "god" almost 45 years of my life... I no longer put blind faith in anything... I choose to have some evidence before I trust in anything now... it is no different now that I do not have faith... I am still alone in the universe as I was before... I just do not have the imaginary friend and do not put my trust in a book written by men that claimed to be filled with the spirit.
Movies:"I love you, you'll love me or you'll burn for e-tern-i-ty, with gnashing of teeth and worms feasting on you, Won't you say you love me too?" Jesus Christ
Quotes:"Atheism is the world of reality, it is reason, it is freedom. Atheism is human concern, and intellectual honesty to a degree that the religious mind cannot begin to understand. And yet it is more than this. Atheism is not an old religion, it is not a new and coming religion, in fact it is not, and never has been, a religion at all. The definition of Atheism is magnificent in its simplicity: Atheism is merely the bed-rock of sanity in a world of madness." [Atheism: An Affirmative View, by Emmett F. Fields]

"You believe in a book that has talking animals, wizards, witches, demons, sticks turning into snakes, food falling from the sky, people walking on water, and all sorts of magical, absurd and primitive stories, and you say that we are the ones that need help?" ~ Dan Barker, "Losing Faith in Faith"

"We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone." ~ Orson Welles

Okay... lets say, you were found guilty of... uh... lets say disobeying a law of some kind. Nothing really bad, violent or gruesome but you were found guilty. Now the penalty, for breaking that law, is that you will be tortured and then if you survive, be put to death. Suppose, that I hear of your plight and I tell you, that I love you more than anything else in the universe; even more than even the life of my only child, that I will gladly give, in your place, to let them mutilate, torture...
