About Me:My name is Amedexyius. I'm a Russian quasi-socialist that has an open mind, willing to discuss anything anyone would bring to the table with me. I'm interested in Foreign Affairs and plan to join my nation's Department of Foreign Affairs after achieving the proper age to apply.
Activities:Political and economic discussions, cars, and computers. I'm also into foreign languages, I speak 4 languages, Russian, English, Portuguese, and Spanish (In order from which I learned).
Beliefs:My economic beliefs are quasi-socialist, meaning I believe in a heavily moderated market economy. This is so GDP growth isn't suppressed and economic downfalls cannot happen due to simultaneous market withdrawals. I do believe in certain ounces of censorship and government influence in every day lives. We should trust the government, not hate it. I believe in security over rights and that the illusion of god given rights is a gateway to a decline of society's progressions and rise. My religious beliefs are non-existent. I do not believe in a God or the existence of one and I usually keep that to myself. I steer away from those conversations as they never have an ending where one side actually agrees or defects to the other. The most powerful subjective beliefs I am forced to hold is passive nihilism. There is no point to life, nor will there ever be.
Books:The Harry Potter Series. I'm not a heavy reader.
Movies:Any of Quentin Tarantino's, Martin Scorsese's films, or of James Cameron.
Music:Classical, classical rock, and American/Canadian 70's-80's. I won't go into details.
Quotes:"A majority of beliefs in something do not change it's truth." ~Anon

""Sometimes it is necessary to be lonely in order to prove that you are right." ~Putin

"He who has a why to live can bear almost any how." ~Nietzsche

"I am a fool with a heart but no brains, and you are a fool with brains but no heart; and we're both unhappy, and we both suffer." ~Dostoyevsky

"The more the universe seems comprehensible, the more it seems pointless." ~Weinberg

"It is true that liberty is precious; so precious that it must be carefully rationed." ~Lenin

"It matters not the language a piece is spoken in, music speaks universally." ~Anon
Sports Teams:Russian National Soccer Team. Virtually nothing else, I only pay attention to sports during Eurocup and FIFA World.
TV Shows:Futarama, American Dad, South Park, Family Guy, Arrested Development, & Prison Break.

THBT Citizens on the Terrorist Screening Database should not be barred from purchasing firearms

I would like to thank Amedexyius for agreeing to debate this topic with me. PrefaceSince the recent mass shootings at Sandy Hook, Pulse, and many others, there has been an influx in demands to increase gun control measures. One of these ideas is barring those on the Terrorist Screening Datatabase (also known as the no-fly list, or the terrorist watch list) from purchasing firearms. While I agree with a number of measures that have been proposed, this idea is not one of them.&nbs...

Taking in thousands of refugees from middle eastern countries puts American citizens in danger.

Taking in thousands of Syrian refugees would place American citizens in unnecessary danger of terrorist attack such as the ones seen in many European nations. Terror attacks also entails taking over sections of the country and implementing Sharia Law where they are now considered "No go zones"...
