About Me:I am, for starters, probably the only Slavic Italian Jew (ethnically, not religiously) you'll ever meet, so consider yourself lucky. I tend to think rationally, and am not usually idealistic, and personally consider myself to be a market/classical liberal and consitutionalist. I also highly distrust (and frankly dislike) the vast majority of political extremes (Anarchism, Alt-Right, Regressive Left, etc.). Oh yes, and I am male.
Activities:Gaming, lots and lots of gaming. Also listening to music, reading, watching movies, the whole damn lot. When bored, I will often spend time debating/arguing, or researching stuff that interests me (i.e. recent scientific discoveries or historical stuff). I also would consider myself a bit of a history buff.
Beliefs:I was an atheist when I made this account. I am now an agnostic-leaning-towards-atheist, but I can't change my username (get on that now Debate.Org). I am generally libertarian-center (market/classical liberal) and believe that government exists for 4 reasons: 1 to ensure the protection of basic rights and freedoms of its people and within its sphere of influence; 2 to protect itself, its citizens, its allies, and its residents from both internal (crime, rebellion) and external (terrorism, invading armies) threats, so long as this doesn't conflict with rule 1; 3 to prevent exploitation by putting into place certain laws (i.e. anti-monopoly laws, workers rights, etc.). Note that this does NOT mean wealth redistribution, it just means making sure that people are treated fairly in business; 4 to provide or subsidize basic needs of its population (roads, healthcare, civil servants, etc.). However, this does not cover welfare.
Books:Metro 2033, Lord of the Rings series, Watchmen, Dark Knight Returns, basically anything written by Isaac Assamof, The Time Machine (H.G. Wells), Of Mice and Men
Movies:Blade Runner (Director's/Final cut), 2001: a Space Odyssey, Monty Python's life of Brian AND Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Pulp fiction, On the Waterfront, Manchurian Candidate , Maltese Falcon, Mad Max: Fury Road , Mad Max 2, Heat
Music:The work of Simon Viklund, especially his work on the PAYDAY 2 soundtrack, Muddy Waters, Albert King, Pink Floyd, Carpenter Brut, Notorious B.I.G., Tribe Called Quest
Quotes:Games: (half-life 2, G-man) "wake up mister freeman, wake up ad, smell the ashes", (Far-cry 3, Vaas) "did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?",
Other: (Albert Camus) "The evil that is in the world almost always comes of ignorance, and good intentions may do as much harm as malevolence if they lack understanding."
Sports Teams:None, never been into sports really
TV Shows:Brooklyn 99, Futurama, Monty Python's Flying Circus , The Wire, Colbert Report, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones
