FalseReality

No is better. This is 5 rounds so I'll let mPro make all his/her/it's statements first. Please don't accept this debate unless you plan to see it the whole way through....

A National Healthcare System in the United States?

thelemite

My argument is that Universal Healthcare will have a devestating effect on the United States on many different levels. The economy would be ruined, individual freedom will be a thing of the past, and the best healthcare system in the world will be compromised. I look forward to debating this topic. I only ask that if you accept this debate that you be a citizen of the United States. Those outside the US have valid input, so please feel free to post your additions in the comments section. T...

There is no such thing as false hope

stevster

Hope, by definition is "the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best" and because it is that feeling you really cant have a false sense of hope. If you hope for something then you have hope, no matter how slim the actual chances of you realizing your dream (or what you hope for) is, you can still have hope and hope can never be false....

So you're against patriotism? I'm Pro patriotism.

Mikegj1077

You're against patriotism? Why don't you just leave the country. If you were in a Nazi concentration camp during WW2 you'd be pretty patriotic when those war monger US troops came to save your azz. What an ungrateful jerk......

Libertarianism is a flawed philosophy.

stk1990

If I'm not mistaken, libertarians want as little government as possible, the lowest taxes possible, and the most individual rights possible. Libertarians trust the free market to get things done. Here's why that's a terrible idea: We cannot trust the free market to run the show. The free market inevitably leaves some people behind. Social Darwinism applies here: Survival of the Fittest. Competition inevitably means someone will be the loser. Libertarians say it is not right to take money away...

Guys thinking they can do things better than girls

Smarticles

First of all guys aren't any better than girls are! We can do sports just as well as guys. We may not always have as much muscle but we can be faster and smaller so better at dodging. Girls aren't helpless!...

In the United States, plea bargaining in exchange for testimony is unjust.

oprahskid

This is my first debate on this website, and so I wanted to start it with a prewritten Lincoln-Douglas Debate speech I had. Obviously, I'd like to debate this LD style. If you wouldn't like to debate the Con side, I will be happy to switch places with you. I want to see if anyone's interested before I edit my case so it fits the format of the site. I'll post my case once I get a challenger. To begin, I'd like to just offer the following definitions and parameters (we'll settle the argumen...
