By the time you're town, people will just start automatically lynching you in my games :P
Surprise, Boy Bands, Literature Mafia, and now Mythological Creatures.

I was town in DDO mafia, actually, but that game was horrible for me so let's pretend it doesn't exist :P

That being said, I feel absolutely terrible. It wasn't obvious to me that Dalt was maf and I even read him as more town than Trek after rereading everything. I clearly have a lot of room for improvement. Good job Dalt, well played. And good job to everyone else.
You shouldn't. You were very contributive and played well :P

Rereading your analysis, I specifically tried to avoid making posts where I linked to myself and argued analytically/defensively, because that (to my experience) tends to come off as overt scumminess. Rather, I tried to mimic genuine, emotionalized town frustration, and tried to entice you to do the analysis yourself. The goal of my posts was to subliminally sway you in particular into going back and rereading my posts, and to notice on your own how pro-town I played without too much of my direct encouragement. And I did play pro-town; it's not like you were wrong.

I had also been setting myself up for a BP claim though and had also practically since the forever hammer, setting myself up for a long bussing game in order to accumulate as much town cred as possible going into LYLO/MYLO.

I could have played better for sure, but I did put a lot of thought into how I wrote those posts in that last DP, and some of my inactivity WAS strategic in the earlier game. Maybe I oversell myself, but I'd like to think I'm not a horrible mafioso, at least.

Trekie did do great though, I congratulate her for that. :)
I was waiting so long for you to role claim, Trekie, because I was planning on claiming BP no matter what, lol.

Also, preference would be Feels Mafia or Fire Emblem Mafia II.

Potentially /in, this looks interesting :)

I'll let you know soon, just need to check to make sure I'll be consistently available.
Are you still good to go?
I'm actually unsure. In just under a month, (i.e end of February), I'm going to be leaving on a humanitarian trip for 2.5 weeks and have absolutely zero access to wifi or a computer. If you're confident the game will finish by then, then I can play.

After this game though, I think I'll definitely be going on hiatus for a while, regardless of my humanitarian trip. :P

lol, town really deserves to lose this game if I am mislynched. and that is sad because scum played awfully, perhaps with the exception of Trekie having the finesse to claim BP.

I hate that line: "Town really deserves to lose this game". Not only is it negative, but you're bashing your own affiliation (assuming you're town), and it's not at all town-like. In fact, almost every game I've been in where a player says that, they turn out to be scum XP
Yeah, you are right, and I'm sorry. You and Cobalt are both good players, I did not mean that. It's just not to be frustrated given the implication that my behaviour has not been pro-town, especially when I think I've done really well this game, given I usually suck as town. I called all of the scum in this game. I was on all three lynches, and I lead two of them. DP1, I voted for three people; Smithers, Forever, and VoT, and I helped lead the lynch on YYW and Smithers. The last game where I did well as town, too, Pantheon on Park Avenue, ironically enough I was also a bulletproof and was mislynched. I suppose I'm just tired of this endless repetitive cycle wherein when I finally put effort into formulating my reads, I just fail at being town in other respects and it goes unappreciated.

Do what you think is right, though, at this point I realize I could have done better, given my experience.

Your town play was fine, I'm not calling it bad. I just have been seeing that line appear more and more as of late, and it's starting to annoy me.
lol, I think I actually used that line in Robot Mafia, so you're probably actually right in that respect.

But this is part of what bugs me, though, and annoys me just as well. I can call all four scum and play almost as pro-town as I possibly can and then I'll probably just end up getting mislynched for calling the town dumb. Granted, I was inactive, but it just frustrates me. It's part of the reason I left mafia on DDO.

I probably should have claimed bulletproof earlier, but whatever. I suppose part of that onus is on me. I also should have pressured Trekie for a claim by DP6 at the latest. I have a problem with being flattered as town, and with being manipulated. Khaos used to do it with me.

I have a paranoia problem as town as well, and I think that lead to me underplaying in this game, so for that I apologize.

DP6:

I skimmed the DP; I don't understand Midnight's turncoat claim.

The functionality of the role makes no sense at all if the turncoat doesn't survive. I can actually see a possible counterbalance for the turncoat if they do survive, but who cares if he becomes mafia postmortem? The only player that affects is Midnight as it alters his wincon, not the town at all. It doesn't benefit the mafia, either, so the role would almost seem to be completely null..

I didn't make it as clear as I remembered in my head, but that was the soft claim I was referring to. I also hinted before that at being a PR, which was me trying to bait a NK. Mafia turncoats, when NK'd, will have a natural incentive to claim bulletproof as a fake claim. It thus makes sense to have a bulletproof in the game as a natural counter to that. That's why I was so for lynching Midnight.

Anyway, reflecting, I can understand where Cobalt is coming from; what I do know is that there is no way both Trekie and I are town. Double bulletproofs is not feasible.
