About Me:I have a wonderful wife, son, and a baby girl. They are my greatest blessings and I love them. I am a 22 year old male. I have an older brother, a younger brother and a baby sister who are all important to me. I was born, and have lived most of my life, in Oregon. I am an Eagle Scout and have a great appreciation for the outdoors and conservation. I am a proud member of the United States Air Force. I am an ENFJ, Lawful-Good, a classical liberal/paleoconservative/libertarian, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday-Saints.

Beliefs:I believe that we are all the literal spirit offspring of our Father in Heaven and before this life we lived with Him and the rest of our spirit family. I came here to receive a body and to be tested so that I would learn & grow. Which is a necessary part of becoming like our Father in Heaven. My Savior Jesus Christ is "the way, the truth, and the life". Because of His sacrifice, after I die I will be able to be reunited with my faithful brothers and sisters as well as my beloved Father and we will reside eternally in celestial glory. "Men are, that they might have joy." I believe in and try to adhere to the teachings and practices of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormonism). I am also an American and I believe strongly in the principles established by The Constitution of the United States. I generally ascribe to the principles of classical liberalism. I am also a proponent of objective morality, Kantian ethics (mostly), rule consequentialism, and compatibalism.

Quotes:"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." -Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV)

"But what did he see in the clear stream below? His own image; no longer a dark, gray bird, ugly and disagreeable to look at, but a graceful and beautiful swan. To be born in a duck"s nest, in a farmyard, is of no consequence to a bird, if it is hatched from a swan's egg. He now felt glad at having suffered sorrow and trouble, because it enabled him to enjoy so much better all the pleasure and happiness around him... Then he rustled his feathers, curved his slender neck, and cried joyfully, from the depths of his heart, 'I never dreamed of such happiness as this, while I was an ugly duckling.'" -Hans Christian Andersen

"Of all the treasures of knowledge, the most vital is the knowledge of God, his existence, power, love and promises." -Spencer W. Kimball

Greetings to one and all! Finally, it's time for the May Beginners Debate Tournament Finals Match-Up. I am Nuevo and I will be arguing for the resolution. We are all aware of the fact that It is kind of an upset to see that this is the first and last debate of the tourney due to continuing failure in communication, but I assure you that this will be a great debate between me and Deonatus. And, this will not be the last you'll hear our names. With that being all said, let me advance the rules...

Should self-defense classes be required in high school?

If self-defense classes were required for high-schoolers to take, I believe that there wouldn't be as many cases of sexual assault and violence against women. Sexual assault is as prominent as ever in today"s society. According to the Journal of College Counseling, "1 out of every 4 women on college and university campuses had been victims of sexual assault or attempted sexual assault". Another article by the American Journal of Public Health states that, "It is estimated that in their lifetime...
