About Me:I am what most liberals would call a typical fundamentalist right-wing wacko. Almost everything about me screams "political incorrectness." I love deep-fried foods, auto racing, football, 'Merica, Jesus, and guns. Sue me.
Activities:My greatest passion in life (besides worshiping my "invisible sky fairy") is classical music. I play piano, classical guitar and am an orchestral trumpet player. I have dreams of being the conductor of a 100-piece orchestra one day. Aside from music, I enjoy sports. My two favorites are football and baseball. If I wasn't a musician I would be playing those sports regularly. A good game of chess always satisfies me, though I'm not very good at it.
Beliefs:My life is dedicated to the service of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. John 15:5 "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him will bear much fruit, for without Me, you can do nothing."
Books:The Bible and anything to do with military history.
Movies:Star Trek: First Contact, Patton, Kelly's Heroes, MacArthur, Battle of Britain, Midway, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, The Great Escape, Apollo 13, Avatar
Music:Classical as always. Favorite composer is Tchaikovsky- no composer's music begins to touch the depth of his, IMO. I also love Brahms, Dvorak, Sibelius, Shostakovich and Stravinsky.
Quotes:May God have mercy on my enemies, because I won't.
General George S. Patton Jr.
Sports Teams:Alabama Crimson Tide, Atlanta Braves, New Orleans Saints, Miami Dolphins, Tennessee Titans
TV Shows:Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, From the Earth to the Moon, Merlin, Columbo

The whole world should drive on the right (i.e. the left) side of the road.

While motorists in civilised countries such as Britain, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa drive on the correct side of the road: i.e. the left-hand side; the heathen cannibals, warpath-dancing savages and insurgent colonials in parts of Asia, Africa and the Americas insist in driving on the wrong side of the road: i.e. the right-hand side of the road. [1,2,3] This means global car manufacturers such as Toyota, Land Rover, Nissan, Jaguar, Mitsubishi, Bentley,...

Baptism is not necessary for salvation

There is a considerable amount of scholarship on both sides of this issue. One school of thought preaches baptism as an absolute necessity for salvation, while the other preaches it as merely a symbol and that all it takes to be saved is acceptance of Jesus into your heart. I am taking the Con position, that is, the position that Jesus explicitly commands us to be baptized in order to receive salvation. My opponent will take the Pro position and must attempt to prove that baptism is not necess...

Golf is not a physical sport

This is another "fun" debate, for me at least.Let me clarify my stance before you accept. I DO believe that golf is a sport in the strictest sense of the word, that is, in the competitive and recreational sense only. The definition of "sport": "A source of diversion; recreation." This, I believe is the only way that golf meets the definition of "sport." The word also has another definition: "physical activity engaged in for pleasure; a particular activity (as an athletic game) so engaged in."&nb...

My trash needs to be taken out right now.

My mother, for the past week, has been saying I should take out my trash due to the papers sticking out and the Dr. Pepper bottle sitting next to it. I, however, do not believe it *needs* to be taken out, and that I should keep the bag around longer to store more trash in. Give me a reason to believe it needs to be taken out.Round one is for acceptance....
